تعاني الفنانة المصرية نجوى فؤاد (83 عامًا) من آلام شديدة في العمود الفقري وانزلاق غضروفي حاد في الفقرات القطنية، ما جعلها تخضع لعلاج بالبلازما لم يسفر عن تحسن. وقالت إنها تستعد لتلقي علاج جديد يعتمد على عقاقير طبية نصح بها فريق ألماني متخصص، مؤكدة أن حالتها مستقرة رغم استمرار الألم، ونفت شائعات أزمتها المالية، موضحة أن وزارة الثقافة تكفلت بجزء من نفقات علاجها.

وكانت الفنانة نجوى فؤاد كانت قد استغاثت في أغسطس الماضي بوزير الثقافة أحمد هنو، الذي وجّه بحل مشكلتها على الفور، وزار وفد مشترك من الوزارة والنقابة منزلها، ووعد بتلبية احتياجاتها، مشيدًا بدورها كأيقونة في السينما المصرية والرقص الشرقي.

يذكر أن نجوى فؤاد ولدت في الإسكندرية عام 1939، وبدأت مسيرتها الفنية في 1958 بفيلم «شارع الحب» أمام عبد الحليم حافظ، وقدمت رقصة «قولوله». وأسست فرقة استعراضية، وتعاونت مع ملحنين كبار مثل محمد عبد الوهاب وبليغ حمدي، وشاركت في أكثر من 250 عملًا فنيًا، لتصبح واحدة من أبرز رموز السينما والرقص المصري. وعلى الرغم من اعتزالها الرقص في التسعينيات، إلا أنها واصلت التألق في الدراما التلفزيونية، محافظة على مكانتها كأيقونة فنية خالدة.

Artist Nagwa Fouad had called for help last August from the Minister of Culture Ahmed Hano, who immediately directed that her problem be resolved. A joint delegation from the ministry and the syndicate visited her home and promised to meet her needs, praising her role as an icon in Egyptian cinema and belly dancing.

It is worth mentioning that Nagwa Fouad was born in Alexandria in 1939 and began her artistic career in 1958 with the film "Street of Love" alongside Abdel Halim Hafez, where she performed the dance "Tell Him." She established a variety troupe and collaborated with great composers such as Mohamed Abdel Wahab and Baligh Hamdi, participating in more than 250 artistic works, making her one of the most prominent symbols of Egyptian cinema and dance. Although she retired from dancing in the 1990s, she continued to shine in television drama, maintaining her status as an eternal artistic icon.
