كشفت سارة كيلين، المساعدة الشخصية السابقة للملياردير الأمريكي الراحل جيفري إبستين، تفاصيل صادمة عن سنوات عملها إلى جانبه، مؤكدة أنها تعرضت لاعتداءات جنسية ونفسية متواصلة، وأنها كانت إحدى ضحاياه وليست مجرد إحدى مساعداته المقربات كما كان يُعتقد لسنوات.
ووفقاً لما نشرته صحيفة «نيويورك بوست»، أدلت كيلين بشهادتها أمام لجنة الرقابة في مجلس النواب الأمريكي، حيث قالت إنها عاشت لأكثر من عقدين «محاصرة داخل عالم جيفري إبستين»، متهمة إياه بممارسة السيطرة النفسية والتلاعب والإكراه الجنسي بحقها.
فرصة عمل تحولت إلى كابوس
وقالت كيلين إن إبستين استدرجها في بداية الأمر عبر إيهامها بوجود فرصة واعدة للعمل عارضة أزياء، قبل أن تتطور العلاقة إلى ما وصفته بـ«منظومة من السيطرة والإساءة الجسدية والنفسية»، مؤكدة أنه تمكن من التحكم في حياتها وقراراتها سنوات طويلة.
وأضافت أنها عملت في البداية دون أجر مساعدة شخصية لإبستين وشريكته السابقة غيسلين ماكسويل، قبل أن تتحول إلى موظفة دائمة تتولى إدارة شؤون متعددة تتعلق بأعماله وتحركاته.
مزاعم اغتصاب واستغلال داخل الجزيرة الخاصة
وكشفت أن أولى وقائع الاعتداء الجنسي وقعت داخل جزيرة إبستين الخاصة، وزعمت أنه أجبرها على الانضمام إليه داخل حوض الاستحمام مقابل حصولها على الوظيفة، مشيرة إلى أنها كانت تتقاضى راتباً سنوياً متواضعاً مقارنة بحجم العمل المطلوب منها، بينما استمرت - بحسب روايتها - في التعرض للاستغلال الجنسي بصورة متكررة.
وأفادت بأن الانتهاكات استمرت في مواقع مختلفة، من بينها الطائرة الخاصة الشهيرة المعروفة باسم «لوليتا إكسبريس» وجزيرة «ليتل سانت جيمس»، كما تحدثت عن واقعة قالت إنها تعرضت خلالها لـ«اغتصاب عنيف» داخل نادٍ رياضي في مدينة بالم بيتش بولاية فلوريدا.
اتهامات بامتداد الانتهاكات حتى داخل السجن
وفي واحدة من أكثر المزاعم إثارة، أكدت كيلين أن نفوذ إبستين استمر حتى أثناء فترة سجنه عام 2008، مشيرة إلى أنه تواصل معها عبر تطبيق «سكايب» من داخل السجن وأجبرها على تنفيذ أوامر ذات طابع جنسي خلال مكالمة مصورة.
وقالت الشاهدة إن سنوات العمل مع إبستين وماكسويل خلفت لديها آثاراً نفسية عميقة، بينها اضطراب ما بعد الصدمة، مؤكدة أنها فقدت القدرة على التمييز بين إرادتها الشخصية وما كان يُفرض عليها نتيجة الضغوط المستمرة والتلاعب النفسي.
لماذا تعيد الشهادة فتح ملف إبستين؟
وتُعد هذه المرة الأولى التي تقدم فيها كيلين نفسها علناً باعتبارها ضحية اعتداءات جنسية، بعدما ارتبط اسمها سابقاً بالتحقيقات باعتبارها إحدى المقربات من إبستين، حيث ورد اسمها في ملفات قضائية أمريكية قديمة بوصفها منسقة لجدول أعماله ومساعدة في إدارة شبكة علاقاته.
ويُعتبر جيفري إبستين أحد أكثر الشخصيات إثارة للجدل في الولايات المتحدة خلال العقود الأخيرة. فقد كوّن شبكة واسعة من العلاقات مع شخصيات سياسية واقتصادية بارزة قبل أن يتحول إلى محور واحدة من أكبر فضائح الاتجار الجنسي في التاريخ الأمريكي.
قضية لم تغلق رغم وفاة المتهم
وأُدين إبستين عام 2008 في قضية تتعلق باستغلال قاصرات، ثم أُلقي القبض عليه مجدداً عام 2019 بتهم فيدرالية جديدة تتعلق بالاتجار الجنسي، قبل أن يُعثر عليه ميتاً داخل زنزانته في نيويورك، في واقعة صُنفت رسمياً على أنها انتحار لكنها ما زالت تثير الجدل حتى اليوم.
وأعادت شهادة كيلين تسليط الضوء على ملف إبستين المعقد، في وقت تتواصل المطالب داخل الولايات المتحدة بالكشف الكامل عن الوثائق والشخصيات التي ارتبطت بشبكته، وسط اهتمام متجدد من الرأي العام الأمريكي بالقضية وتداعياتها السياسية والقضائية.
Sarah Kellen, the former personal assistant of the late American billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, revealed shocking details about her years working alongside him, confirming that she suffered continuous sexual and psychological assaults, and that she was one of his victims, not just one of his close assistants as had been believed for years.
According to what was published by the "New York Post," Kellen testified before the House Oversight Committee in the U.S. Congress, stating that she lived for more than two decades "trapped within Jeffrey Epstein's world," accusing him of exercising psychological control, manipulation, and sexual coercion against her.
A job opportunity turned into a nightmare
Kellen said that Epstein initially lured her in by misleading her about a promising opportunity to work as a model, before the relationship evolved into what she described as "a system of control and physical and psychological abuse," asserting that he managed to control her life and decisions for many years.
She added that she initially worked unpaid as Epstein's personal assistant and that of his former partner Ghislaine Maxwell, before becoming a permanent employee responsible for managing various affairs related to his business and movements.
Allegations of rape and exploitation on the private island
She revealed that the first incidents of sexual assault occurred on Epstein's private island, claiming that he forced her to join him in the bathtub in exchange for the job, noting that she received a modest annual salary compared to the amount of work required of her, while she continued—according to her account—to be subjected to repeated sexual exploitation.
She reported that the abuses continued in various locations, including the famous private jet known as the "Lolita Express" and "Little Saint James" island, and she spoke about an incident in which she claimed she was subjected to "violent rape" inside a gym in Palm Beach, Florida.
Accusations of abuses extending even inside prison
In one of the most shocking allegations, Kellen confirmed that Epstein's influence persisted even during his imprisonment in 2008, indicating that he contacted her via Skype from inside prison and forced her to carry out sexual orders during a video call.
The witness stated that her years of working with Epstein and Maxwell left her with deep psychological scars, including post-traumatic stress disorder, asserting that she lost the ability to distinguish between her personal will and what was imposed on her due to continuous pressure and psychological manipulation.
Why does this testimony reopen the Epstein case?
This is the first time Kellen has publicly presented herself as a victim of sexual assaults, after her name was previously linked to investigations as one of Epstein's close associates, where her name appeared in old U.S. court documents as a coordinator of his agenda and an assistant in managing his network of relationships.
Jeffrey Epstein is considered one of the most controversial figures in the United States in recent decades. He built a vast network of relationships with prominent political and economic figures before becoming the center of one of the largest sex trafficking scandals in American history.
A case that remains open despite the defendant's death
Epstein was convicted in 2008 in a case related to the exploitation of minors, and he was arrested again in 2019 on new federal charges related to sex trafficking, before being found dead in his cell in New York, in an incident officially classified as suicide but still raises controversy to this day.
Kellen's testimony has brought renewed attention to the complex Epstein case, at a time when demands continue within the United States for full disclosure of the documents and individuals connected to his network, amid renewed public interest in the case and its political and judicial ramifications.
