بدأت فصول المأساة في عزلة «بني حاج» التابعة لمديرية السودة، إثر خلاف عائلي محتدم بين مسلح وصهره (زوج شقيقته)، بسبب زواج الأخير من امرأة ثانية. ورغم محاولات الشقيقة التدخل لتقريب وجهات النظر وفض النزاع، إلا أن الأمور اتخذت مساراً عنيفاً عندما حاول شقيقها إجبارها على مغادرة منزل الزوجية. ومع رفض الزوج لهذا التدخل، تطور الموقف سريعاً إلى مشادة مسلحة، أطلق خلالها الشقيق النار، ليردي صهره قتيلاً على الفور، ولم تنجُ شقيقته الحامل في شهرها التاسع من الرصاصات الطائشة، لتسقط ضحية هي وجنينها في اللحظة ذاتها.
ثأر فوري
لم تنتهِ فصول المأساة عند هذا الحد؛ فوفقاً للمصادر المحلية، لم تكد تمضي دقائق على الجريمة حتى قامت شقيقة الزوج القتيل بملاحقة الجاني (القاتل الأول)، وأطلقت النار عليه مباشرة ثأراً لشقيقها، ليلقى حتفه في الحال وتنتهي المواجهة بثلاث جثث.

وفي سياق المتابعة الحقوقية، أفادت الشبكة اليمنية للحقوق والحريات بأن فريقها الميداني وثق الحادثة، مشيرة إلى خلفية مقلقة تتعلق بالجاني، الذي تبين أنه خضع سابقاً لـ«دورات ثقافية وتعبوية» في المراكز الصيفية التابعة لجماعة الحوثي.

Details of the Crime
The chapters of the tragedy began in the "Bani Hajj" isolation, which belongs to the Al-Sawda district, following a heated family dispute between an armed man and his brother-in-law (his sister's husband), due to the latter's marriage to a second woman. Despite the sister's attempts to intervene to bridge the viewpoints and resolve the conflict, matters took a violent turn when her brother tried to force her to leave her marital home. With the husband refusing this intervention, the situation quickly escalated into an armed altercation, during which the brother fired shots, instantly killing his brother-in-law, and his sister, who was nine months pregnant, did not escape the stray bullets, falling victim along with her unborn child at that very moment.
Immediate Revenge
The chapters of the tragedy did not end there; according to local sources, just minutes after the crime, the sister of the murdered husband pursued the perpetrator (the primary killer) and shot him directly in revenge for her brother, resulting in his immediate death and concluding the confrontation with three corpses.
Background and Consequences
In the context of legal follow-up, the Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms reported that its field team documented the incident, pointing to a troubling background concerning the perpetrator, who was found to have previously undergone "cultural and mobilization courses" in summer centers affiliated with the Houthi group.
The network warned that this incident is not isolated but rather embodies a frightening rise in rates of domestic violence within areas under Houthi control, noting that the absence of peaceful solutions to conflicts and the proliferation of uncontrolled weapons constitute a ticking time bomb threatening societal peace.
Concerning Indicators
This shocking incident comes just a few days after a similar crime in the same governorate, which resulted in the deaths of two brothers due to disputes between them.
