أعلن مجلس إدارة نادي ضمك استقالته الجماعية عن المدة المتبقية من دورته الحالية، وذلك عقب اجتماع غير عادي عقدته الإدارة بمدينة خميس مشيط لمناقشة أوضاع النادي ومتطلبات المرحلة القادمة.

وأوضحت الإدارة في بيان إعلامي صدر اليوم أن القرار جاء «حرصاً على مصلحة النادي، ورغبة في تمكين مجلس إدارة منتخب من مباشرة مهماته في وقت مبكر»، بما يتيح الإعداد الأمثل للموسم الرياضي القادم واتخاذ القرارات الفنية والإدارية والمالية اللازمة لتعزيز الاستقرار وتحقيق المستهدفات.

وأكد المجلس أن استقالته تأتي «استشعاراً للمسؤولية تجاه النادي ومستقبله»، وإيماناً بأهمية منح الإدارة القادمة الوقت الكافي للتخطيط والإعداد، بما يخدم مصلحة ضمك ويواكب تطلعات جماهيره.

ووجّه المجلس الإدارة التنفيذية باستكمال الإجراءات النظامية والتنسيق مع الجهات المختصة وفقاً للأنظمة واللوائح المعمول بها.

واختتم البيان بتقديم شكر الإدارة لوزارة الرياضة، ولأمير منطقة عسير الأمير تركي بن طلال بن عبدالعزيز على دعمه ومتابعته المستمرة، كما تقدم بالشكر لجماهير ضمك الوفية والداعمين والشركاء.

ومن المتوقع أن تكلف وزارة الرياضة لجنة مؤقتة لتسيير أعمال النادي حتى انعقاد الجمعية العمومية وانتخاب مجلس إدارة جديد، يتولى قيادة «فارس الجنوب» في المرحلة القادمة.

The Board of Directors of Damak Club announced its collective resignation for the remaining term of its current session, following an extraordinary meeting held by the administration in Khamis Mushait to discuss the club's situation and the requirements for the upcoming phase.

The administration clarified in a media statement issued today that the decision was made "in the interest of the club and a desire to enable an elected Board of Directors to commence its duties early," allowing for optimal preparation for the upcoming sports season and making the necessary technical, administrative, and financial decisions to enhance stability and achieve the targets.

The council confirmed that its resignation comes "in recognition of the responsibility towards the club and its future," and in belief of the importance of giving the incoming administration enough time for planning and preparation, in a way that serves the interests of Damak and meets the aspirations of its fans.

The council directed the executive administration to complete the necessary legal procedures and coordinate with the relevant authorities in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.

The statement concluded by expressing the administration's gratitude to the Ministry of Sports and to the Emir of Asir Region, Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, for his continuous support and follow-up, as well as thanking the loyal fans of Damak, supporters, and partners.

It is expected that the Ministry of Sports will appoint a temporary committee to manage the club's affairs until the General Assembly convenes and a new Board of Directors is elected to lead "the Knight of the South" in the upcoming phase.
