أكد مدرب منتخب إسبانيا لويس دي لا فوينتي جاهزية نجم «الماتادور» لامين يامال للمشاركة في الجولة الافتتاحية ببطولة كأس العالم 2026 أمام الرأس الأخضر، المقررة الإثنين القادم، بعد تعافيه من إصابة في أوتار الركبة.
إسبانيا في مجموعة الأخضر
ويوجد المنتخب الإسباني ضمن منافسات المجموعة الثامنة في بطولة كأس العالم 2026، إلى جانب منتخبات السعودية والأوروغواي والرأس الأخضر.
يامال جاهز للمونديال
وقال دي لا فوينتي في حوار مع صحيفة «آس» الإسبانية: «كنا قلقين للغاية بشأن يامال، لأننا اعتقدنا أنها إصابة ستبعده لمدة شهر ونصف، لكننا سعداء جداً لأننا نرى أن تعافيه يتقدم بسرعة، ويشعر بتحسن كل يوم، وهذا يدفعنا للاعتقاد بأنه سيكون جاهزاً تماماً للمباراة الأولى».
إشادة بنضج يامال
وأضاف: «إنه لاعب يتمتع بنضج كروي كبير رغم صغر سنه، وعندما يُضاف هذا النضج إلى موهبته، يصبح من الطبيعي أن يحظى بكل هذا الحديث والاهتمام، وأن يُظهر داخل الملعب، وبعفوية استثنائية، كل ما يملكه من قدرات وإمكانات وجودة فنية ومكانة ومستقبل واعد».
دعوة لحمايته ودعمه
وتابع: «نحن سعداء به، لكنني أكرر دائماً أنه لا يزال في الثامنة عشرة من عمره، ويجب الاستمرار في حمايته ودعمه ومساندته، لا يزال أمامه الكثير من التقلبات الطبيعية التي يمر بها أي لاعب في هذه المرحلة، ومن المهم دائماً أن يبقى متواضعاً ومتمسكاً بأرض الواقع، وهو بالفعل كذلك، لكن لا ينبغي أبداً أن نتراخى في دعمه أو الابتعاد عنه، بل يجب أن نبقى قريبين منه، إنها فترة مناسبة بالنسبة له لإثبات نفسه وإظهار كامل إمكاناته الكروية».
وختم مدرب إسبانيا حديثه قائلاً: «لامين مهووس بكرة القدم، شديد التركيز، وكل تفكيره منصب على كأس العالم».
Spain's coach Luis de la Fuente confirmed the readiness of "La Roja" star Lamine Yamal to participate in the opening round of the 2026 World Cup against Cape Verde, scheduled for next Monday, after recovering from a knee tendon injury.

The Spanish national team is in Group H of the 2026 World Cup, alongside the teams from Saudi Arabia, Uruguay, and Cape Verde.
Yamal Ready for the World Cup
De la Fuente said in an interview with the Spanish newspaper "AS": "We were very worried about Yamal because we thought it was an injury that would keep him out for a month and a half, but we are very happy to see that his recovery is progressing quickly, and he feels better every day, which leads us to believe that he will be completely ready for the first match."
Praise for Yamal's Maturity
He added: "He is a player with great football maturity despite his young age, and when this maturity is combined with his talent, it is natural for him to receive all this talk and attention, and to show on the field, with exceptional spontaneity, all that he possesses in terms of abilities, potential, artistic quality, status, and a promising future."
Call to Protect and Support Him
He continued: "We are happy with him, but I always repeat that he is still only eighteen years old, and we must continue to protect, support, and assist him. He still has many natural ups and downs that any player goes through at this stage, and it is always important for him to remain humble and grounded, which he indeed is, but we should never relax in supporting him or distance ourselves from him; rather, we should stay close to him. This is a suitable time for him to prove himself and show his full football potential."
The coach of Spain concluded his remarks by saying: "Lamine is obsessed with football, highly focused, and all his thoughts are directed towards the World Cup."
