يستهل منتخب مصر مشواره في بطولة كأس العالم 2026 المقامة في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وكندا والمكسيك بمواجهة بلجيكا، غداً (الإثنين)، في تمام العاشرة مساءً على ملعب «لومن فيلد» بمدينة سياتل الأمريكية.
ويقع المنتخب المصري ضمن المجموعة السابعة في مونديال 2026، الذي تستمر منافساته حتى 19 يوليو القادم، إلى جانب منتخبات بلجيكا وإيران ونيوزيلندا.
هل يكسر منتخب مصر عقدة 92 عاماً؟
ولم يحقق منتخب مصر أي انتصار خلال مشاركاته الثلاث السابقة في البطولة، إذ كان أول ظهور له قبل 92 عاماً في إيطاليا عام 1934، وخاض وقتها مباراة واحدة أمام المجر انتهت بخسارته 4-2، إذ أُقيمت البطولة بنظام خروج المغلوب.
وفي عام 1990 بإيطاليا أيضاً، سجل منتخب مصر بقيادة المدرب الأسطوري الراحل محمود الجوهري ظهوره المونديالي الثاني، إذ افتتح مشواره في البطولة بالتعادل مع هولندا 1-1، ثم التعادل مع إيرلندا 0-0، قبل أن يخسر أمام إنجلترا 1-0 ويودع البطولة.
واستمر غياب منتخب مصر عن المونديال 28 عاماً، قبل أن يشارك بقيادة المدرب الأسبق هيكتور كوبر في نسخة 2018 التي أُقيمت في روسيا، لكن النتائج كانت مخيبة للآمال، إذ تلقى 3 خسائر متتالية أمام أوروغواي 1-0 وروسيا 3-1 والسعودية 2-1.
وفي ظهوره الرابع في المونديال، يتطلع منتخب مصر بقيادة مدربه حسام حسن إلى تحقيق انتصار تاريخي على بلجيكا يدعم حظوظه في تجاوز دور المجموعات وتسجيل إنجاز تاريخي جديد.
تفوق مصري في المواجهات ضد بلجيكا
وقبل مواجهة الغد، خاض منتخب مصر 4 مباريات ودية أمام بلجيكا، وفقاً لحسابات الاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، فاز المنتخب المصري في 3 مواجهات وخسر واحدة، وستكون مباراة الغد أول لقاء رسمي بين الطرفين.

The Egyptian team then missed the World Cup for 28 years before participating under former coach Hector Cuper in the 2018 edition held in Russia, but the results were disappointing, as they suffered three consecutive losses to Uruguay 1-0, Russia 3-1, and Saudi Arabia 2-1.
In its fourth World Cup appearance, the Egyptian team, led by coach Hossam Hassan, aims to achieve a historic victory over Belgium to enhance its chances of advancing beyond the group stage and achieving a new historic accomplishment.
Egyptian superiority in encounters against Belgium
