أصدر نادي مانشستر سيتي بياناً رسمياً رد فيه على بيان رابطة الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز «بريميرليغ» بشأن إدانة النادي بخرق قواعد الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز.
انتهاكات الخطيرة
وكانت رابطة «البريميرليغ» قد أعلنت، منذ ساعات قليلة، أن لجنة مستقلة خلصت إلى أن نادي مانشستر سيتي مذنب بجميع التهم المتعلقة بالانتهاكات الخطيرة للقواعد المالية للدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز على مدى تسعة مواسم، ومعظم التهم المتعلقة بعدم تعاونه مع تحقيق الدوري.
«خيبة أمل ودهشة»
وقال مانشستر سيتي في بيان عبر موقعه الرسمي: «يشعر نادي مانشستر سيتي لكرة القدم بخيبة أمل ودهشة إزاء رأي رابطة الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز».
وأضاف: «يؤكد النادي براءته من الاتهامات الموجهة إليه من قبل الرابطة، ويملك أدلة دامغة وشاملة تدعم جميع مواقفه المتعلقة بهذه القضية، ولذلك، سيواصل النادي نضاله الدؤوب، وسيتخذ الإجراءات الاستباقية عند الضرورة، في جميع الهيئات التنظيمية والقانونية المختصة».
السيتي يستأنف
وتابع: «لا تزال إجراءات الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز جارية، مع وجود عناصر مهمة لم تُستكمل. وسيلجأ نادي مانشستر سيتي الآن إلى جميع سبل الاستئناف المتاحة له، على أساس أن الرأي يتضمن أخطاءً جوهرية واضحة في القانون والمبادئ والوقائع، وأنه غير سليم».
وأشار النادي: «لقد احترم النادي الإجراءات القانونية الواجبة بجدية لمدة ثماني سنوات، على أساس أن مجلس إدارة رابطة الدوري الإنجليزي والإدارة التنفيذية سيتصرفان كجهة تنظيمية مستقلة ونزيهة وعادلة، بعيداً عن أي تأثيرات منحازة».
«مقيد فيما يمكنه قوله»
واختتم البيان: «من الواضح أن النادي مقيد فيما يمكنه قوله أكثر من ذلك حتى اكتمال جميع الإجراءات المستقبلية».
Manchester City Football Club issued an official statement in response to the Premier League's statement regarding the club's conviction for breaching the Premier League rules.
Serious Violations
The Premier League announced just a few hours ago that an independent committee concluded that Manchester City is guilty of all charges related to serious violations of the Premier League's financial rules over nine seasons, with most charges related to its lack of cooperation with the league's investigation.
"Disappointment and Astonishment"
Manchester City stated in a statement on its official website: "Manchester City Football Club feels disappointment and astonishment regarding the Premier League's opinion."
It added: "The club asserts its innocence of the charges brought against it by the league, and possesses compelling and comprehensive evidence supporting all its positions related to this matter. Therefore, the club will continue its diligent struggle and will take proactive measures when necessary, in all relevant regulatory and legal bodies."
City Appeals
It continued: "The Premier League proceedings are still ongoing, with important elements that have not been completed. Manchester City will now resort to all available avenues of appeal, on the basis that the opinion contains clear substantive errors in law, principles, and facts, and is unsound."
The club noted: "The club has seriously respected due legal processes for eight years, on the basis that the Board of the Premier League and the executive management would act as an independent, impartial, and fair regulatory body, free from any biased influences."
"Restricted in What It Can Say"
The statement concluded: "It is clear that the club is restricted in what it can say further until all future proceedings are completed."
