كشف المدرب الجديد لمنتخب فرنسا زين الدين زيدان سبب استبعاد الثنائي كريم بنزيما ونغولو كانتي من قائمة «الديوك» لخوض منافسات دوري الأمم الأوروبية.
زيدان يبدأ حقبته بمواجهة تركيا
وتولى زيدان تدريب فرنسا خلفاً لديديه ديشامب عقب نهاية كأس العالم 2026، وسيستهل حقبته بمواجهة تركيا في إزميد يوم 25 سبتمبر، ضمن دور المجموعات بدوري الأمم الأوروبية، ثم يحل ضيفاً على بلجيكا، قبل استضافة إيطاليا وبلجيكا في أكتوبر.
سبب استبعاد بنزيما وكانتي
ورد زيدان خلال مؤتمر صحفي على استبعاد مهاجم الهلال السابق كريم بنزيما، قائلاً: «أنا أحب كريم كثيراً، لقد بلغ سناً معينة (38 عاماً)، وأنا معجب بكل ما قدمه في مسيرته، لكنني بحاجة إلى رؤية لاعبين أصغر سناً، هذا لا يقلل من أي شيء مما حققه مع المنتخب الفرنسي (97 مباراة دولية، 37 هدفاً)».
وحول نغولو كانتي، أجاب: «أنا معجب به أيضاً، وأود أن أغتنم هذه الفرصة لأهنئه على ما قدمه، لقد كان لاعباً مثالياً، لكنه يبلغ من العمر 35 عاماً، ولم أتولَّ تدريب هذا المنتخب إلا لأربع سنوات، ولديّ خيارات عليَّ اتخاذها».

Reason for Excluding Benzema and Kanté
During a press conference, Zidane addressed the exclusion of former Al-Hilal striker Karim Benzema, saying: "I love Karim very much; he has reached a certain age (38 years old), and I admire everything he has done in his career, but I need to see younger players. This does not diminish anything from what he achieved with the French national team (97 international matches, 37 goals).”
Regarding N'Golo Kanté, he replied: "I admire him as well, and I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate him on what he has accomplished. He has been an exemplary player, but he is 35 years old, and I have only been coaching this team for four years, and I have choices to make."
