وبدأت خيوط السقوط حينما لاحظت الفرق الميدانية اختلالات مفاجئة وتدفقات غير مبررة في شبكات الإمداد الكهربائي التابعة لشركات الخدمة بالمنطقة. ومع تعقب خطوط التسريب وتتبع المسارات السرية للتمديدات المريبة، قادت الأدلة التقنية المفتشين مباشرة إلى منزل مؤذن المسجد، ليتقرر تحويل الملف فوراً إلى الأجهزة الأمنية والقضائية للفصل في الواقعة.

وكشفت تفاصيل القرار الصادر عن محكمة صلح جزاء شرق عمان عقب اعتراض المتهم على حكم سابق عن حيلة جرى تنفيذها للالتفاف على القانون، حيث أقدم المؤذن على إنشاء توصيلات سرية ومباشرة من الشبكة العامة، بالتزامن مع فصل العداد الأصلي عن الخدمة، ليضمن الحصول على الطاقة بالمجان بعيداً عن أجهزة الرقابة.

ورغم أن الهيئة القضائية أعلنت براءته من تهمة «العبث الفعلي بالعداد» لغياب الدليل المادي المباشر واستناداً للقاعدة المستقرة بأن «الشك يُفسر دائماً لمصلحة المتهم»، إلا أن ثبوت إقامته للوصلات غير القانونية والاستفادة الفعلية منها وثق جرم السرقة بحقه، ليصدر القرار النافذ بحبسه لمدة ستة أشهر مع تحميله الرسوم والتمويلات القانونية.

Details of the decision issued by the East Amman Summary Court, following the defendant's objection to a previous ruling, revealed a scheme executed to circumvent the law, where the muezzin had established secret and direct connections from the public network, coinciding with the disconnection of the original meter from service, ensuring he received electricity for free away from monitoring devices.

Although the judicial body declared him innocent of the charge of "actual tampering with the meter" due to the absence of direct material evidence and based on the established principle that "doubt is always interpreted in favor of the accused," the establishment of his illegal connections and actual benefit from them confirmed his theft, leading to a binding decision to imprison him for six months, along with imposing legal fees and charges.
