أعلن مشروع «مسام» لنزع الألغام في اليمن، اليوم (الأحد)، نزع 798 لغماً وذخيرة غير منفجرة وعبوة ناسفة خلال الأسبوع الأول من شهر يونيو الجاري، في إطار الجهود المستمرة لتأمين المناطق المتضررة من مخلفات الحرب وحماية المدنيين.

وأكدت غرفة عمليات المشروع أن إجمالي ما تم نزعه خلال الأسبوع الماضي شمل 781 ذخيرة غير منفجرة، و6 ألغام مضادة للدبابات، و11 لغماً مضاداً للأفراد، مبينة أن الفرق نجحت خلال الفترة ذاتها في تطهير 184,544 متراً مربعاً من الأراضي اليمنية، ضمن عمليات المسح والتطهير التي تنفذها في عدد من المحافظات.

إنجازات المشروع في ميدي

وأشار البيان إلى أن فرق «مسام» في مديرية ميدي بمحافظة حجة نجحت في نزع 10,003 ألغام وذخائر غير منفجرة وعبوات ناسفة منذ بدء عملها في المنطقة، مبيناً أن المواد المنزوعة في ميدي توزعت على 7,564 ذخيرة غير منفجرة، و2,186 لغماً مضاداً للدبابات، و145 لغماً مضاداً للأفراد، إضافة إلى 108 عبوات ناسفة.

وتمكنت فرق المشروع، منذ بدء عملياتها في المديرية، من تطهير 3,089,948 متراً مربعاً من الأراضي، ما أسهم في تعزيز سلامة السكان وإعادة مساحات واسعة إلى الاستخدام الآمن.

جهود مستمرة لحماية المدنيين

وأوضحت غرفة عمليات «مسام» استمرار الفرق الهندسية في تنفيذ مهامها الإنسانية الهادفة إلى إزالة مخاطر الألغام والذخائر غير المنفجرة، وتمكين المواطنين من العودة إلى حياتهم الطبيعية وممارسة أنشطتهم بأمان.

وقال مدير عام مشروع «مسام» لنزع الألغام في اليمن أسامة بن يوسف القصيبي إن فرق المشروع واصلت تحقيق إنجازات ميدانية كبيرة في إزالة الألغام ومخلفات الحرب منذ انطلاقته في نهاية يونيو 2018 وحتى 5 يونيو الجاري، مبيناً أن فرق «مسام» تمكنت من نزع 565,137 لغماً وذخيرة غير منفجرة وعبوة ناسفة، في إطار الجهود الإنسانية الرامية إلى حماية المدنيين والحد من المخاطر التي تشكلها الألغام ومخلفات الحرب في مختلف المحافظات اليمنية.

أكثر من نصف مليون لغم وذخيرة

وأشار إلى أن عمليات النزع شملت 397,879 ذخيرة غير منفجرة، و151,456 لغماً مضاداً للدبابات، إضافة إلى 7,340 لغماً مضاداً للأفراد، و8,462 عبوة ناسفة، ما يعكس حجم التهديدات التي واجهتها الفرق الهندسية خلال سنوات عملها الميداني.

ولفت إلى أن فرق المشروع تمكنت، حتى 5 يونيو 2026، من تطهير 80,892,169 متراً مربعاً من الأراضي اليمنية، ضمن عمليات المسح والتطهير المستمرة التي تستهدف إعادة الأراضي المتضررة إلى الاستخدام الآمن، موضحاً أن هذه الإنجازات تأتي في إطار المهمة الإنسانية للمشروع الهادفة إلى حماية الأرواح، وتأمين المجتمعات المحلية، وتمكين السكان من العودة إلى منازلهم ومزارعهم وممارسة أنشطتهم اليومية بعيداً عن مخاطر الألغام والذخائر غير المنفجرة.

The "Masam" project for mine clearance in Yemen announced today (Sunday) the removal of 798 mines, unexploded ordnance, and explosive devices during the first week of June, as part of ongoing efforts to secure areas affected by war remnants and protect civilians.

The project's operations room confirmed that a total of 781 unexploded ordnance, 6 anti-tank mines, and 11 anti-personnel mines were removed during the past week, indicating that the teams succeeded in clearing 184,544 square meters of Yemeni land during the same period, as part of the survey and clearance operations being carried out in several governorates.

Project Achievements in Midi

The statement noted that "Masam" teams in the Midi district of Hajjah governorate successfully removed 10,003 mines, unexploded ordnance, and explosive devices since they began their work in the area, indicating that the removed materials in Midi included 7,564 unexploded ordnance, 2,186 anti-tank mines, 145 anti-personnel mines, in addition to 108 explosive devices.

The project teams have managed, since the start of their operations in the district, to clear 3,089,948 square meters of land, contributing to enhancing the safety of the population and returning large areas to safe use.

Ongoing Efforts to Protect Civilians

The "Masam" operations room clarified that the engineering teams continue to carry out their humanitarian tasks aimed at removing the dangers of mines and unexploded ordnance, enabling citizens to return to their normal lives and engage in their activities safely.

The Director General of the "Masam" project for mine clearance in Yemen, Osama bin Yusuf Al-Qusaibi, stated that the project teams have continued to achieve significant field accomplishments in removing mines and war remnants since its launch at the end of June 2018 until June 5 of this year, indicating that "Masam" teams managed to remove 565,137 mines, unexploded ordnance, and explosive devices, as part of humanitarian efforts aimed at protecting civilians and reducing the risks posed by mines and war remnants in various Yemeni governorates.

More than Half a Million Mines and Ordnance

He pointed out that the removal operations included 397,879 unexploded ordnance, 151,456 anti-tank mines, in addition to 7,340 anti-personnel mines, and 8,462 explosive devices, reflecting the scale of the threats faced by the engineering teams during their years of fieldwork.

He noted that the project teams managed, as of June 5, 2026, to clear 80,892,169 square meters of Yemeni land, as part of the ongoing survey and clearance operations aimed at returning affected lands to safe use, explaining that these achievements come within the framework of the project's humanitarian mission aimed at protecting lives, securing local communities, and enabling residents to return to their homes and farms and engage in their daily activities away from the dangers of mines and unexploded ordnance.
