كشف السفير السعودي في اليمن محمد آل جابر، أن الحكومة اليمنية تستعيد زمام الأمور، وستعود إلى عدن قريباً لخدمة الإنسان اليمني.

وأكد في حوار لقناة «العربية»، اليوم الجمعة، أن الحوار الجنوبي يحظى بدعم مباشر من القيادة السعودية، مؤكداً وجود اجتماعات مستمرة بين اللجان المشتركة من البلدين.

حوار جنوبي دون إقصاء

وأعلن آل جابر أن هناك ترتيبات جارية لإعداد اللجنة التحضيرية للحوار الجنوبي المفتوح، دون إقصاء أو تمييز لأي شخصية، مضيفاً أن التواصل قائم مع القيادات والشخصيات الجنوبية لبدء المرحلة الأولى من التحضير للحوار.

وقال السفير آل جابر إن القيادة السعودية تحرص على مواصلة دعم الأشقاء في اليمن وتمكين الحكومة من أداء واجباتها تجاه المواطنين، ووصف الظروف الاقتصادية في اليمن بأنها شديدة الصعوبة، بسبب تعذر تصدير النفط وتراجع إيرادات الدولة بأكثر من 60%، ما أدى إلى عجز الحكومة عن دفع الرواتب وتوفير الخدمات الأساسية.

إستراتيجية شاملة لدعم الاقتصاد

وتحدث عن معاناة البنك المركزي اليمني من نقص الودائع المالية، مما استدعى وضع استراتيجية سعودية شاملة لدعم الاقتصاد اليمني.

وأفصح آل جابر أن السعودية عملت مع الحكومة اليمنية على معالجة خلل عدم دفع الرواتب لمدة 4 أشهر، مشيراً إلى أن الحكومة بدأت بالتحرك نحو إزالة هذه العوائق، غير أن تطورات الأحداث اليمنية في حضرموت أضعفت وضع آلية لحل المسائل الاقتصادية.

وقال: سنكون مستمرين في تقديم الدعم الاقتصادي في الفترة القادمة، فما حدث في الفترة الماضية هو دعم كبير في مجال التنمية والإعمار، وأيضاً صدر توجيه باستثمار تقديم دعم الميزانية والرواتب 90,000,000 دولار، وسيبدأ الصرف الأسبوع القادم لبعض الرواتب المتأخرة حسب إفادة الحكومة اليمنية.

بناء القدرات في مختلف المجالات

وأفاد آل جابر بأن الدعم السعودي خلال الفترة القادمة سيتركز على دعم الاقتصاد اليمني وبناء القدرات في مختلف المجالات عبر تطوير الإيرادات، وتعزيز إدارة الدولة باستخدام التقنيات الحديثة، ودعم الميزانية بشكل مباشر وغير مباشر، وحماية قيمة العملة اليمنية، مؤكداً أن هذا الدعم سينعكس على تشغيل مشتقات النفط وبالتالي القدرة على تشغيل محطات الكهرباء في مختلف المحافظات.

وأكد أن السعودية تعمل في الجانب العسكري لدعم الشرعية، عبر حماية المدن والمناطق المحررة، ومكافحة الإرهاب في المحافظات التابعة للحكومة الشرعية، لافتاً إلى وجود عمل كبير في هذا الإطار.

وقال: إن المرحلة القادمة ستشهد دعماً اقتصادياً كبيراً ومتنوعاً، لا يقتصر على تقديم الأموال فقط، بل يشمل توظيف قدرات سعودية ودولية لمساندة الحكومة في بناء إمكاناتها ومعالجة الاختلالات الاقتصادية والمالية، بالتعاون مع البنك الدولي وصندوق النقد الدولي.

مشاريع صحية وتعليمية وخدمية

وكشف آل جابر دعماً سعودياً اقتصادياً كبيراً للفترة القادمة مختلف عن الماضي، وليس عبارة عن أموال فقط، إذ سيكون هناك تنوع في دعم الاقتصاد، عبر قدرات سعودية وقدرات دولية لمساعدة الحكومة اليمنية في بناء إمكاناتها، لتوفير الخدمات ومعالجة الخلل الاقتصادي والمالي.

وأكد أن معاناة اليمنيين كبيرة، والسعودية تقف معهم وستستمر في ذلك، لافتاً إلى أن المملكة تعمل على المسارات الاقتصادية كافة، الأمنية، العسكرية، والتنموية، من أجل دعم الاستقرار وتحسين حياة الإنسان اليمني.

The Saudi ambassador to Yemen, Mohammed Al-Jaber, revealed that the Yemeni government is regaining control and will return to Aden soon to serve the Yemeni people.

He confirmed in an interview with Al-Arabiya channel today, Friday, that the southern dialogue enjoys direct support from the Saudi leadership, emphasizing the existence of ongoing meetings between the joint committees from both countries.

Southern Dialogue Without Exclusion

Al-Jaber announced that arrangements are underway to prepare the preparatory committee for the open southern dialogue, without exclusion or discrimination against any individual, adding that communication is ongoing with southern leaders and figures to begin the first phase of preparation for the dialogue.

Ambassador Al-Jaber stated that the Saudi leadership is keen to continue supporting their brothers in Yemen and enabling the government to fulfill its duties towards the citizens, describing the economic conditions in Yemen as extremely difficult due to the inability to export oil and a decline in state revenues by more than 60%, which has led to the government's inability to pay salaries and provide basic services.

Comprehensive Strategy to Support the Economy

He spoke about the suffering of the Central Bank of Yemen from a lack of financial deposits, which necessitated the establishment of a comprehensive Saudi strategy to support the Yemeni economy.

Al-Jaber revealed that Saudi Arabia has worked with the Yemeni government to address the issue of unpaid salaries for four months, noting that the government has begun to move towards removing these obstacles; however, developments in the Yemeni events in Hadhramaut weakened the mechanism for resolving economic issues.

He said: We will continue to provide economic support in the coming period, as what happened in the past period was significant support in the field of development and reconstruction, and a directive was also issued to invest in providing budget and salary support amounting to $90,000,000, with disbursement starting next week for some overdue salaries according to the Yemeni government's report.

Building Capacities in Various Fields

Al-Jaber indicated that Saudi support in the upcoming period will focus on supporting the Yemeni economy and building capacities in various fields through revenue development, enhancing state management using modern technologies, and directly and indirectly supporting the budget, as well as protecting the value of the Yemeni currency, confirming that this support will reflect on the operation of oil derivatives and thus the ability to operate electricity stations in various provinces.

He affirmed that Saudi Arabia is working on the military side to support legitimacy by protecting cities and liberated areas and combating terrorism in the provinces under the legitimate government, pointing out that there is significant work in this regard.

He said: The upcoming phase will witness substantial and diverse economic support, which is not limited to just providing funds, but includes employing Saudi and international capacities to assist the government in building its capabilities and addressing economic and financial imbalances, in cooperation with the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.

Health, Educational, and Service Projects

Al-Jaber revealed significant Saudi economic support for the upcoming period that differs from the past, and is not just about money, as there will be diversity in economic support through Saudi and international capabilities to assist the Yemeni government in building its capacities to provide services and address economic and financial imbalances.

He confirmed that the suffering of Yemenis is great, and Saudi Arabia stands with them and will continue to do so, noting that the Kingdom is working on all economic, security, military, and developmental tracks to support stability and improve the life of the Yemeni people.
