فيما نفت إيران توجّه وفدها المفاوض إلى سويسرا أو باكستان، كشف مسؤول أمريكي اليوم (السبت) عن طبيعة الاتفاق وآليته، واصفاً الاتفاق بالتاريخي.

وقال المسؤول في تصريحات صحفية: «نعتقد أننا توصلنا إلى اتفاق قوي للغاية مع إيران، والتصريحات الباكستانية اليوم تؤكد ذلك»، موضحاً أن الاتفاق يُلزم إيران بفتح مضيق هرمز كشرط أساسي، ومن المحتمل فتحه دون فرض أي رسوم.

وأشار إلى أن الولايات المتحدة ستوقف حصارها البحري على إيران بالتزامن مع خطوة فتح مضيق هرمز، مبيناً أن المرحلة التي تلي فتح المضيق ستشهد عملية مكثفة ومتزامنة لإزالة الألغام البحرية من قبل بريطانيا وفرنسا.

ولفت إلى أنه جرى بحث تشكيل تحالف بحري مع بريطانيا وفرنسا لإزالة الألغام، وأن لدى البلدين سفناً عسكرية قريبة وجاهزة للمشاركة، موضحاً أن الولايات المتحدة ستشارك بشكل كبير في عمليات إزالة الألغام في مضيق هرمز لإعادة الأوضاع إلى طبيعتها سريعاً.

في غضون ذلك، قال متحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية الإيرانية إن فريق التفاوض لا يخطط لزيارة باكستان أو جنيف خلال الأيام القليلة القادمة، بحسب ما نقلت «رويترز» عن وسائل إعلام إيرانية.

وأوضح المتحدث أن مذكرة تفاهم إسلام آباد تركز في هذه المرحلة على إنهاء الحرب دون مناقشة الملف النووي، مبيناً أن مذكرة التفاهم ليست اتفاقاً نهائياً مع واشنطن، بل تفاهم يطرح النقاط الخلافية الأساسية ويؤكد إنهاء الحرب.

وقال المتحدث الإيراني: «بسبب التجارب السابقة، تم التركيز في هذه المرحلة فقط على إنهاء الحرب في جميع الجبهات، بما في ذلك لبنان، والموضوعات القائمة بيننا وبين الولايات المتحدة معقدة، ويجب متابعة هذا المسار بحذر».

While Iran denied that its negotiating delegation is heading to Switzerland or Pakistan, an American official revealed today (Saturday) the nature and mechanism of the agreement, describing it as historic.

The official stated in press remarks: "We believe we have reached a very strong agreement with Iran, and the Pakistani statements today confirm that," explaining that the agreement requires Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz as a fundamental condition, and it is likely to be opened without imposing any fees.

He pointed out that the United States will lift its maritime blockade on Iran simultaneously with the step of opening the Strait of Hormuz, indicating that the phase following the opening of the strait will witness an intensive and simultaneous operation to remove naval mines by Britain and France.

He noted that discussions have taken place regarding the formation of a naval coalition with Britain and France to remove the mines, and that both countries have military ships nearby and ready to participate, explaining that the United States will play a significant role in the mine removal operations in the Strait of Hormuz to quickly restore normalcy.

Meanwhile, a spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry stated that the negotiating team does not plan to visit Pakistan or Geneva in the coming days, according to what "Reuters" reported from Iranian media.

The spokesman clarified that the Islamabad memorandum of understanding focuses at this stage on ending the war without discussing the nuclear file, indicating that the memorandum is not a final agreement with Washington, but rather an understanding that addresses the main points of contention and confirms the end of the war.

The Iranian spokesman said: "Due to past experiences, the focus at this stage has been solely on ending the war on all fronts, including Lebanon, and the issues between us and the United States are complex, and this path must be followed with caution."
