Exclusive sources revealed to "Okaz" the position of the Portuguese national team coach Jorge Jesus regarding offering an official apology to team captain Cristiano Ronaldo, following today's (Thursday) match against Denmark in the UEFA Nations League.

Reason for the Crisis

The relationship between Ronaldo and Jesus has soured in recent days due to "the Don" sitting on the bench in the last match against Norway.

Despite attempts to ease tensions, Ronaldo announced his departure from the Portugal camp, just a few hours after Jesus's press conference, during which he confirmed that he would not change his tactical beliefs, even for the sake of the team captain.

Jesus Will Not Apologize

Sources stated: "Jesus will not offer an official apology to Ronaldo after the Denmark match, and rumors about an apology are not true."

They added: "Ronaldo did not inform Jesus of his decision to retire from international football before leaving the Portugal camp, but it is likely that the Al-Nassr star will not wear the Portugal jersey again in the presence of Jesus."

Awaiting Ronaldo's Decision

According to Portuguese media reports, Ronaldo has decided to retire from playing with the Portugal national team, but "the Don" has not announced his decision yet, as he traveled to the Spanish capital Madrid for a break before returning to Al-Nassr to resume competitions.
