في وجه العاصفة التي هبت ضدها، نشرت مروة ناجي بياناً مطولاً ردت فيه بلغة الأرقام، مؤكدة أن المبلغ الذي عُرض عليها للمشاركة في الدورة الـ34 من مهرجان الموسيقى العربية كان أقل من 50% من أجرها الحقيقي في الدورة السابقة، ورغم ذلك وافقت بلا تردد.

ولم تتوقف عند هذا الحد، بل كشفت أنها عرضت إحياء حفل المهرجان في الإسكندرية متبرعة بأجرها كاملاً، في رد عملي حاسم على كل شائعات الجشع المادي.

ويبدو أن القصة لم تكن مالية من الأساس، فقد أوضحت مروة ناجي أن الأزمة الحقيقية تكمن في الفوضى الإدارية، إذ فُرض عليها موعد حفل في القاهرة يتعارض تماماً مع ارتباطاتها المسبقة، وعندما حاولت التنسيق وتدارك الأمر مع الإدارة، قوبلت بصمت تام، لتفاجأ بإعلان برنامج عشوائي لا يمت للاحترافية بصلة، بحسب قولها.

ووصفت الفنانة المصرية ما حدث بأنه «عدم مهنية غير مسبوقة»، مختتمة دفاعها بالتأكيد على أنها قدمت عبر مسيرتها حفلات كبرى «بدون أي أجر» مثبتة في سجلات الأوبرا الرسمية، لتضع نقطة النهاية في وجه حملات التشكيك وتكشف الوجه الآخر لقصة انسحابها التي أثارت الجدل في منصات التواصل الاجتماعي المصرية.

When she tried to coordinate and rectify the situation with the administration, she was met with complete silence, only to be surprised by the announcement of a random program that had nothing to do with professionalism, according to her.

The Egyptian artist described what happened as "unprecedented unprofessionalism," concluding her defense by emphasizing that she has held major concerts throughout her career "without any fee," as documented in the official opera records, putting a definitive end to the campaigns of doubt and revealing the other side of the story of her withdrawal that stirred controversy on Egyptian social media platforms.
