The Egyptian star Mohamed Salah topped the list of absences for the national team against South Africa, as he only played one half against Angola during the current international break before being excluded from the match against South Sudan due to the "tartan" pitch.
Severe Mistake by Shouber
The goal for South Africa came from Boso Dithijani, who took advantage of a severe mistake by Mustafa Shouber, then dribbled past defender Hossam Abdel-Meguid and shot the ball into the net just six minutes into the second half.
The Egyptian team intensified its attempts through Hamza Abdel-Karim and Ibrahim Adel to equalize in the final minutes, but the South African defense and the goalkeeper prevented the hosts from reaching the net.
