فرض النجم الدولي لاعب خط وسط نادي الهلال والمنتخب السعودي ناصر الدوسري نفسه بصورة كبيرة داخل الكتيبة الأساسية للمدير الفني اليوناني جورجيوس دونيس بعدما منحه الفرصة لإثبات نفسه بصورة مميزة من جميع النواحي، خاصة في بطولة خليجي 27.

وخلال مواجهة النهائي أمام الإمارات، قدم ناصر أداءً مميزاً، وسط إشادة الجميع، وساهم في حصول الأخضر على التتويج باللقب.

رحلته الدولية بدأت قبل أكثر من خمسة أعوام، وأخذته إلى كأس العالم وكأس آسيا ومحطات قارية وخليجية عدة.

وبدأت علاقة الدوسري مع المنتخب الأول في 25 مارس 2021، عندما شارك للمرة الأولى أمام الكويت في المواجهة التجريبية التي كسبها الأخضر 1-0، قبل أن يدخل بعدها في حسابات المنتخب خلال تصفيات كأس العالم 2022.

وجاء حضوره الرسمي في التصفيات أمام اليابان خلال أكتوبر من العام ذاته، قبل أن يشارك أمام أستراليا وفيتنام، ويواصل الظهور ضمن المجموعة التي أنهت الطريق إلى مونديال قطر بنجاح.

واستمر ناصر في حسابات الفرنسي هيرفي رينارد، مدرب الأخضر السابق، خلال التحضيرات لكأس العالم 2022، وشارك في عدد من المباريات التجريبية التي سبقت البطولة، قبل أن يضمه المدرب الفرنسي إلى القائمة النهائية في قطر.

وسجل الدوسري ظهوره الأول في كأس العالم خلال مواجهة بولندا في الجولة الثانية من دور المجموعات، ليدخل بذلك قائمة اللاعبين السعوديين الذين خاضوا المونديال، قبل أن تستمر رحلته الدولية بعد نهاية البطولة.

وفي كأس آسيا 2023، التي لعبت مطلع 2024 في قطر، شارك الدوسري أمام عُمان وتايلند وكوريا الجنوبية، وبدأ أساسياً في أكثر من مواجهة، في مرحلة شهدت استمرار الاعتماد عليه مع الإيطالي روبرتو مانشيني.

وأصبح حضوره أكبر خلال مشوار تصفيات كأس العالم 2026، إذ شارك في عدد كبير من المباريات، قبل أن يظهر مجدداً على المسرح العالمي في مونديال 2026، مضيفاً مشاركة ثانية في كأس العالم إلى سجله الدولي.

كما مر الدوسري بمحطات خليجية وعربية مختلفة، من «خليجي 26» إلى كأس العرب، قبل أن يدخل «خليجي 27» في جدة بصورة أكثر تأثيراً مع المنتخب.

وخلال النسخة الحالية، اعتمد دونيس على الدوسري بصورة مستمرة في وسط الملعب، وأصبح أكثر لاعبي الأخضر مشاركة بالدقائق في الطريق إلى المباراة النهائية.

وبرز بشكل خاص أمام العراق في ختام دور المجموعات، عندما أسهم في صناعة هدفي الفوز 2-0، قبل أن يواصل حضوره أمام قطر في نصف النهائي.

ولم يعد دور الدوسري مع الأخضر مقتصراً على مركز واحد، إذ منحته قدرته على اللعب في أكثر من موقع في الوسط والطرف الأيسر مساحة للحضور مع مدربين مختلفين، وهو ما ساعده على الاستمرار ضمن قوائم المنتخب منذ ظهوره الأول.

ووصل اللاعب إلى 52 مباراة دولية بقميص المنتخب السعودي خلال خمسة أعوام، مر خلالها بكأسَي عالم، وكأس آسيا، وكأس الخليج، وكأس العرب، إضافة إلى تصفيات المونديال.

The international star, midfielder of Al-Hilal Club and the Saudi national team, Nasser Al-Dosari, has established himself significantly within the core squad of Greek coach Georgios Donis, who gave him the opportunity to prove himself remarkably in all aspects, especially in the Gulf Cup 27.

During the final match against the UAE, Nasser delivered an outstanding performance, receiving praise from everyone, and contributed to the green team's victory in clinching the title.

His international journey began more than five years ago, taking him to the World Cup, the Asian Cup, and several continental and Gulf stops.

Al-Dosari's relationship with the national team started on March 25, 2021, when he participated for the first time against Kuwait in a friendly match that the green team won 1-0, before he became part of the national team’s plans during the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

His official presence in the qualifiers came against Japan in October of the same year, before he participated against Australia and Vietnam, continuing to appear within the group that successfully completed the journey to the Qatar World Cup.

Nasser remained in the plans of former green team coach Hervé Renard during the preparations for the 2022 World Cup, participating in several friendly matches leading up to the tournament, before the French coach included him in the final list for Qatar.

Al-Dosari made his World Cup debut during the match against Poland in the second round of the group stage, thus entering the list of Saudi players who have participated in the World Cup, before his international journey continued after the tournament.

In the 2023 Asian Cup, which took place in early 2024 in Qatar, Al-Dosari participated against Oman, Thailand, and South Korea, starting in several matches, during a phase where he continued to be relied upon by Italian coach Roberto Mancini.

His presence grew larger during the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, as he participated in a significant number of matches, before appearing again on the global stage in the 2026 World Cup, adding a second World Cup participation to his international record.

Al-Dosari also went through various Gulf and Arab stages, from "Gulf 26" to the Arab Cup, before entering "Gulf 27" in Jeddah with a more impactful presence with the national team.

During the current edition, Donis relied on Al-Dosari continuously in midfield, making him the player with the most minutes played for the green team on the road to the final match.

He particularly stood out against Iraq at the end of the group stage, contributing to the creation of both goals in the 2-0 victory, before continuing his presence against Qatar in the semi-finals.

Al-Dosari's role with the green team is no longer limited to one position, as his ability to play in multiple roles in midfield and on the left flank has given him the space to feature with different coaches, which has helped him remain on the national team rosters since his first appearance.

The player has reached 52 international matches wearing the Saudi national team jersey over five years, during which he has participated in two World Cups, the Asian Cup, the Gulf Cup, the Arab Cup, in addition to World Cup qualifiers.
