قبل انطلاق «خليجي 27»، لم يكن همام الهمامي يبحث عن أكثر من فرصة يثبت فيها أن اسمه يستحق أن يكون بين نجوم المنتخب السعودي. دخل اللاعب الشاب البطولة بطموح واضح، بعدما تحدث قبل بدايتها عن أمنيته في أن يبرز اسمه بين نجوم كأس الخليج، وأن تكون مشاركته محطة مهمة في مسيرته الدولية.

الهمامي، المولود عام 2004، شق طريقه بصورة مختلفة؛ إذ خاض تجربة احترافية في التشيك مع سلافيا براغ تحت 19 عامًا، ثم انتقل إلى بينيسوف، قبل أن يعود إلى الكرة السعودية عبر بوابة الاتحاد، ويظهر بصورة لافتة مع الخلود، حيث شارك في 32 مباراة خلال موسم 2024-2025، سجل خلالها أربعة أهداف وصنع ثلاثة.

هذا الظهور قاده إلى المنتخب السعودي الأول، ثم إلى تجربة جديدة مع الشباب. ومع بداية «خليجي 27»، تحولت أمنية اللاعب الشاب إلى واقع، وبدأ اسمه يفرض نفسه بين أبرز لاعبي الأخضر.

لم يكتفِ الهمامي بالمشاركة، بل أصبح أحد الأسماء التي صنعت مشوار المنتخب السعودي نحو النهائي، قبل أن تأتي اللحظة الأبرز في البطولة، وفي المباراة التي لا تقبل التعويض.

في نهائي «خليجي 27» أمام الإمارات، وعلى ملعب مدينة الملك عبدالله الرياضية في جدة، احتاج الهمامي إلى 11 دقيقة فقط ليترك بصمته الأبرز، بعدما افتتح التسجيل للمنتخب السعودي بتسديدة من خارج منطقة الجزاء غيّرت اتجاهها واستقرت في الشباك، مانحًا الأخضر أفضلية مبكرة في المباراة الأهم.

وبعد دقيقتين فقط، أضاف فراس البريكان الهدف الثاني، ليعزز تقدم الأخضر في النهائي، فيما واصل الهمامي كتابة قصته الخاصة في البطولة، بعدما كان هدفه المبكر إحدى أبرز لحظاته في ليلة التتويج.

ومع إطلاق صافرة النهاية، احتفل الهمامي مع زملائه بتتويج المنتخب السعودي بالكأس الرابعة في تاريخه، قبل أن تكتمل ليلته بتكريم شخصي، بعدما توج بجائزة أفضل لاعب في «خليجي 27»، ليجمع في ليلة واحدة بين فرحة اللقب والتتويج الفردي.

بدأ الهمامي البطولة باحثًا عن فرصة يثبت فيها نفسه، وأنهاها مسجلًا في النهائي، رافعًا الكأس مع الأخضر، ومتوجًا بجائزة أفضل لاعب؛ لتتحول أمنيته قبل البطولة إلى واحدة من أبرز قصص «خليجي 27».

Before the start of "Gulf 27", Hammam Al-Hammami was not looking for more than an opportunity to prove that his name deserves to be among the stars of the Saudi national team. The young player entered the tournament with clear ambition, having spoken before its start about his wish to make his name stand out among the stars of the Gulf Cup, and for his participation to be an important milestone in his international career.

Al-Hammami, born in 2004, carved his path in a different way; he had a professional experience in the Czech Republic with Slavia Prague under 19, then moved to Benesov, before returning to Saudi football through the gates of Al-Ittihad, where he made a remarkable appearance with Al-Kholood, participating in 32 matches during the 2024-2025 season, scoring four goals and assisting three.

This appearance led him to the Saudi national team, and then to a new experience with the youth team. With the start of "Gulf 27", the young player's wish turned into reality, and his name began to assert itself among the top players of the Green.

Al-Hammami did not settle for just participating; he became one of the names that shaped the Saudi national team's journey to the final, before the most significant moment of the tournament came in a match that could not be compensated.

In the final of "Gulf 27" against the UAE, at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, Al-Hammami needed only 11 minutes to leave his most significant mark, as he opened the scoring for the Saudi national team with a shot from outside the penalty area that changed direction and settled in the net, giving the Green an early advantage in the most important match.

Just two minutes later, Firas Al-Buraikan added the second goal, further enhancing the Green's lead in the final, while Al-Hammami continued to write his own story in the tournament, as his early goal was one of his most prominent moments on the night of the crowning.

With the final whistle, Al-Hammami celebrated with his teammates the Saudi national team's fourth cup in its history, before his night was completed with a personal honor, as he was awarded the Best Player of "Gulf 27", bringing together in one night the joy of the title and individual recognition.

Al-Hammami started the tournament looking for an opportunity to prove himself, and he ended it by scoring in the final, lifting the cup with the Green, and being crowned the Best Player; thus, turning his wish before the tournament into one of the most prominent stories of "Gulf 27".
