غيّب الموت، اليوم (السبت)، الأديب والكاتب عمران بن محمد بن حمد العمران، عضو مجلس الشورى سابقًا، وأول رئيس تحرير لجريدة الرياض، بعد مسيرة حافلة بالعطاء في مجالات الصحافة والأدب والثقافة.

وسيُصلّى على الفقيد بعد صلاة عصر اليوم (السبت)، في جامع الملك خالد بالرياض، فيما يُستقبل العزاء للرجال والنساء في منزله بحي حطين، على طريق الأمير تركي الأول، من الساعة الرابعة عصرًا حتى التاسعة مساءً.

وُلد الراحل في الرياض عام 1352هـ، وتخرّج ضمن أول دفعة من كلية اللغة العربية عام 1377هـ، وتولى رئاسة تحرير جريدة الرياض عام 1385هـ، ليكون أول من تولى هذا المنصب في الصحيفة، ويترك بصمة في مسيرة الصحافة.

وامتدت تجربة العمران إلى التأليف والكتابة الأدبية والشعر، إذ أصدر خمسة مؤلفات وديوانًا شعريًا، تولت دار الثلوثية نشرها، وتنوعت موضوعاتها بين المقالة والشعر والتوثيق الأدبي، ومن أبرزها «شؤون وآراء»، و«الأمل الظامئ»، و«حديث عابر»، الذي يضم مقالاته، و«من وحي السنين»، وهو ديوان شعري، إلى جانب كتاب «من أعلام الشعر اليمامي»، الذي ألّفه في الرابعة والعشرين من عمره، بالتزامن مع تخرّجه في كلية اللغة العربية.

Today (Saturday), death has taken away the writer and literary figure Imran bin Muhammad bin Hamad Al-Imran, a former member of the Shura Council and the first editor-in-chief of Al-Riyadh newspaper, after a rich career filled with contributions in the fields of journalism, literature, and culture.

The funeral prayer for the deceased will be held after the Asr prayer today (Saturday) at King Khalid Mosque in Riyadh, while condolences for men and women will be received at his home in the Al-Hittin neighborhood, on Prince Turki I Road, from 4 PM to 9 PM.

The late was born in Riyadh in 1352 AH, graduating in the first batch from the College of Arabic Language in 1377 AH. He assumed the position of editor-in-chief of Al-Riyadh newspaper in 1385 AH, becoming the first to hold this position at the newspaper and leaving a mark in the history of journalism.

Al-Imran's experience extended to authorship and literary writing and poetry, as he published five works and a poetry collection, which were published by Dar Al-Thuluthiya. The subjects of his works varied between essays, poetry, and literary documentation, with notable titles including "Issues and Opinions," "The Thirsty Hope," "A Passing Conversation," which includes his articles, and "Inspired by the Years," a poetry collection, in addition to the book "From the Icons of Yamama Poetry," which he wrote at the age of twenty-four, coinciding with his graduation from the College of Arabic Language.

"Okaz," which was saddened by the news, extends its heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased, asking God to envelop him in His vast mercy and grant him a place in His spacious gardens. Indeed, we belong to God and to Him we shall return.
