أعلن الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي، اليوم (السبت)، موافقته على تنفيذ عمليات أوكرانية جديدة بعيدة المدى رداً على الضربات الروسية، في وقت تصاعدت فيه حدة المعارك بين موسكو وكييف، بالتزامن مع رصد طائرات مسيّرة مجهولة وغير مصرح بها في أجواء مطار لوكسمبورغ، ما أدى إلى تعليق حركة الطيران وتحويل رحلات إلى مطارات أخرى.

وقال زيلينسكي إن أوكرانيا تستعد لتوسيع قدراتها بعيدة المدى، دون الكشف عن تفاصيل العمليات الجديدة أو أهدافها، مشيراً إلى أن كييف تعمل على نشر حلول أثبتت فعاليتها في إسقاط طائرات «شاهد» النفاثة وتوسيع إنتاجها.

وأضاف أن القوات الأوكرانية حددت «أولويات جديدة للعمليات العسكرية على الجبهة»، في ظل استمرار المواجهات الميدانية بين البلدين. وأعلنت كييف مقتل وإصابة أكثر من 1500 عسكري روسي خلال الساعات الـ24 الماضية.

وفي المقابل، أعلنت موسكو تحقيق تقدم ميداني والسيطرة على أكثر من 5300 كيلومتر مربع و220 بلدة منذ بداية العام، فيما قالت وزارة الدفاع الروسية إنها أسقطت 344 طائرة مسيّرة أوكرانية خلال الليل، واستهدفت سفناً ومنشآت لوجستية في موانئ البحر الأسود.

وفي لوكسمبورغ، فتحت السلطات تحقيقاً بعد رصد طائرات مسيّرة مجهولة الهوية وغير مصرح بها في المجال الجوي فوق مطار فيندل، ما دفعها إلى تعليق عمليات الطيران مؤقتاً خلال ليلة الجمعة، قبل استئنافها نحو الساعة 1:20 صباحاً بالتوقيت المحلي.

وقال رئيس الوزراء لوك فريدن إن بلاده تواجه أمراً جديداً يتمثل في رصد طائرات مسيّرة يُحتمل أن تكون أكبر حجماً، مؤكداً أن من المبكر تحديد مصدرها، وأن السلطات تعمل على تحليل المعلومات بالتعاون مع حلفائها في حلف شمال الأطلسي «الناتو».

وأفاد مطار لوكسمبورغ بأن المسيّرات رُصدت في محيطه ثم فوق مدرجه، موضحاً أن تعليق الرحلات جاء إجراءً احترازياً لضمان سلامة الركاب وأطقم الطائرات والعاملين.

وأسفر التعليق عن تحويل 19 رحلة إلى مطارات أخرى، فيما أعلنت شركة «لوكسمير» أن أكثر من 1800 راكب تأثروا بالاضطرابات، وأن 17 رحلة كانت مقررة للهبوط في لوكسمبورغ حُولت إلى مطارات بينها بروكسل وباريس وفرانكفورت.

وأكدت الحكومة أن المعلومات المتوافرة لا تسمح باستخلاص نتائج نهائية بشأن مصدر المسيّرات أو طبيعتها، مشيرة إلى استمرار التحقيقات والفحوص بالتعاون مع شركائها الدوليين، في وقت تتزايد فيه المخاوف الأوروبية من انتهاكات المجال الجوي وحوادث المسيّرات فوق المواقع الحساسة منذ اندلاع الحرب الروسية ـ الأوكرانية عام 2022.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced today (Saturday) his approval for new long-range Ukrainian operations in response to Russian strikes, as the intensity of battles between Moscow and Kyiv escalated, coinciding with the detection of unidentified and unauthorized drones in the airspace over Luxembourg Airport, leading to the suspension of flight operations and the diversion of flights to other airports.

Zelensky stated that Ukraine is preparing to expand its long-range capabilities, without revealing details about the new operations or their objectives, noting that Kyiv is working on deploying solutions that have proven effective in downing "Shahed" drones and increasing their production.

He added that Ukrainian forces have identified "new priorities for military operations on the front," amid ongoing ground confrontations between the two countries. Kyiv reported that more than 1,500 Russian soldiers were killed or injured in the past 24 hours.

In contrast, Moscow announced that it has made battlefield advances and gained control over more than 5,300 square kilometers and 220 towns since the beginning of the year, while the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that it shot down 344 Ukrainian drones overnight and targeted ships and logistical facilities in Black Sea ports.

In Luxembourg, authorities opened an investigation after unidentified and unauthorized drones were spotted in the airspace above Findel Airport, prompting a temporary suspension of flight operations during the night of Friday, before resuming around 1:20 AM local time.

Prime Minister Lux Frieden stated that his country is facing a new situation with the detection of potentially larger drones, emphasizing that it is too early to determine their source, and that authorities are working to analyze the information in cooperation with their NATO allies.

Luxembourg Airport reported that drones were detected in its vicinity and then above its runway, explaining that the suspension of flights was a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of passengers, flight crews, and staff.

The suspension resulted in the diversion of 19 flights to other airports, while "Luxair" announced that more than 1,800 passengers were affected by the disruptions, and that 17 flights scheduled to land in Luxembourg were redirected to airports including Brussels, Paris, and Frankfurt.

The government confirmed that the available information does not allow for definitive conclusions regarding the source or nature of the drones, indicating that investigations and examinations are ongoing in cooperation with international partners, as European concerns about airspace violations and drone incidents over sensitive sites have increased since the outbreak of the Russian-Ukrainian war in 2022.
