يواجه رئيس الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم «فيفا» جياني إنفانتينو أزمة جديدة، بعد نحو شهرين ونصف من الجدل حول مشروع «فيفا فوروارد إنتربرايز»، الذي كان يقضي ببيع حصص في كيان جديد تابع للاتحاد، بقيمة تُقدّر بنحو 20 مليار دولار.
ومع تراجع إنفانتينو عن المقترح، بدأت الضغوط تتراجع نسبياً، إلا أن رئيس «فيفا» وجد نفسه في قلب عاصفة جديدة، بعدما كشفت صحيفة «لوموند» الفرنسية، عن توقيع الاتحاد الدولي عقداً في ربيع عام 2025 لاستئجار مكاتب في برج ترمب بمدينة نيويورك، ما أثار تساؤلات بشأن العلاقة بين الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب ورئيس «فيفا» جياني إنفانتينو.
مكاتب فارغة بملايين الدولارات
ويمتد المقر المستأجر على مساحة 450 متراً مربعاً في الطابق السابع عشر من برج ترمب بنيويورك، رغم عدم وجود موظفين يعملون فيه بصورة دائمة.
وأوضح التقرير أن «فيفا» استأجر المكاتب لمدة سبع سنوات وسبعة أشهر، بموجب عقد أُبرم في مايو 2025 مع شركة «Trump Tower Commercial LLC»، التي يرأسها إريك ترمب، نجل الرئيس الأمريكي، في صفقة تُقدّر قيمتها بنحو 4 ملايين دولار.
ووفقاً لوثائق داخلية اطّلعت عليها الصحيفة، تبلغ قيمة الإيجار نحو 470 ألف دولار سنوياً، أي ما يعادل 420 ألف يورو، إضافة إلى نحو 100 ألف دولار، أي نحو 89 ألف يورو، مقابل أعمال التجهيز والصيانة.
وأشار التقرير إلى أن المكاتب تظل شاغرة في معظم الأوقات، وأن «فيفا» لم يدرس مواقع أخرى قبل الانتقال إليها، فيما أعرب عدد من مسؤولي الاتحاد عن مخاوفهم من وجود تضارب في المصالح.
في المقابل، أكد الاتحاد الدولي أن قيمة الإيجار تتوافق مع أسعار السوق، وأن العقد يلتزم بالإجراءات الداخلية المعتمدة لديه.
علاقة إنفانتينو بـ«ترمب»
وجاء توقيع العقد في وقت أظهر فيه رئيس «فيفا» جياني إنفانتينو تقارباً واضحاً مع دونالد ترمب، وسط تساؤلات بشأن طبيعة العلاقة بينهما.
وكان إنفانتينو قد منح الرئيس الأمريكي «جائزة السلام» خلال مراسم قرعة كأس العالم 2026، التي أُقيمت في ديسمبر الماضي.

As Infantino backed away from the proposal, the pressures began to ease somewhat; however, the FIFA president found himself at the center of a new storm after the French newspaper "Le Monde" revealed that the international federation had signed a contract in the spring of 2025 to rent offices in Trump Tower in New York City, raising questions about the relationship between U.S. President Donald Trump and FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
Empty Offices Worth Millions
The rented headquarters spans 450 square meters on the seventeenth floor of Trump Tower in New York, despite the absence of permanent staff working there.
The report clarified that FIFA rented the offices for seven years and seven months, under a contract signed in May 2025 with "Trump Tower Commercial LLC," headed by Eric Trump, the son of the U.S. president, in a deal valued at around 4 million dollars.
According to internal documents reviewed by the newspaper, the rent is approximately 470,000 dollars annually, equivalent to 420,000 euros, in addition to about 100,000 dollars, or around 89,000 euros, for preparation and maintenance work.
The report indicated that the offices remain vacant most of the time, and that FIFA did not consider other locations before moving there, while several federation officials expressed concerns about potential conflicts of interest.
In contrast, the international federation confirmed that the rental value is in line with market prices and that the contract adheres to its approved internal procedures.
Infantino's Relationship with Trump
The signing of the contract came at a time when FIFA President Gianni Infantino showed a clear closeness to Donald Trump, amid questions regarding the nature of their relationship.
Infantino had awarded the U.S. president the "Peace Prize" during the draw for the 2026 World Cup, which took place last December.
