Al-Fateh coach Jamal Al-Salmi considered his team's victory over Al-Hazm with a score of 3-2, in the ninth round of the Saudi Pro League, an important step towards correcting the course, confirming that the victory was the result of the players' character and their determination to overcome a series of negative results.

Al-Salmi said during the press conference after the match that the win could represent a new beginning for the team, pointing out that the difficulty of the match was expected against a well-organized and dangerous opponent in counter-attacks.

He explained that Al-Fateh could have scored during the first half, but lacked effectiveness, while Al-Hazm was given many opportunities in the second half, which the team's goalkeeper excelled in saving, confirming that conceding a goal necessitated making substitutions in search of regaining balance and achieving victory.

Al-Salmi praised the influential role of Murad Batna, who scored the third goal, emphasizing that the three points will give the team an important boost in their league journey.

The Al-Fateh coach attributed the victory to the players, explaining that their ability to come back in both halves of the match reflects their strong character and reaction, which is the spirit he hopes to maintain in the upcoming difficult matches, but he believes they are not impossible.

In response to a question from "Okaz" about the "magic wand" he used during his short tenure to lead the team to a last-minute victory, Al-Salmi confirmed that it relates to work and confidence, indicating that the players quickly absorbed his ideas and showed their character on the field.

He added that meetings with the players showed a collective determination to treat every match as a final, starting with the match against Al-Hazm, expressing hope for continued responsiveness and achieving the required results in the upcoming matches.

Al-Salmi revealed that the team will miss the services of Batong in the next match due to accumulated yellow cards, confirming the need for more work to enhance collective performance and overcome periods when the team loses focus.
