تكبد فريق أرسنال الهزيمة الأولى في مسابقة الدوري الإنجليزي (بريميرليغ) هذا الموسم أمام مضيفه برايتون بثلاثة أهداف دون رد، في المباراة التي جمعتهما اليوم (السبت) على ملعب «فالمر»، ضمن منافسات الجولة الخامسة.
وكان حامل لقب الدوري الإنجليزي، بقيادة مدربه الإسباني ميكيل أرتيتا، قد حقق الفوز في أول أربع مباريات، إلا أن سلسلة انتصاراته توقفت أمام برايتون.
أهداف المباراة
افتتح باسكال غروس التسجيل لفريق برايتون في الدقيقة 31، ثم أضاف تشارالامبوس كوستولاس الهدف الثاني لأصحاب الأرض في الدقيقة 45.
وواصل برايتون تفوقه في الشوط الثاني، إذ سجل تشيما أندريس الهدف الثالث في الدقيقة 57، ليقتنص فوزاً ثميناً من «المدفعجية».
هدية للسيتي
بهذه النتيجة، تجمد رصيد أرسنال عند 12 نقطة في المركز الثاني بجدول ترتيب «البريميرليغ»، متأخراً بفارق الأهداف عن مانشستر سيتي صاحب الصدارة، فيما تقدم برايتون إلى المركز الثالث برصيد 10 نقاط.
ويملك مانشستر سيتي فرصة الانفراد بصدارة الترتيب، في حال الفوز أو التعادل أمام سندرلاند غداً (الأحد).
Arsenal suffered their first defeat in the English Premier League this season against their hosts Brighton, losing three goals to none, in the match that took place today (Saturday) at the "Amex" Stadium, as part of the fifth round of competition.
The defending champions of the English league, led by their Spanish coach Mikel Arteta, had won their first four matches, but their winning streak came to an end against Brighton.
Match Goals
Pascal Groß opened the scoring for Brighton in the 31st minute, and then Charalampos Kostoulas added the second goal for the hosts in the 45th minute.
Brighton continued their dominance in the second half, as Chema Andrés scored the third goal in the 57th minute, securing a valuable victory over the "Gunners."
A Gift for City
With this result, Arsenal's points remain at 12 in second place in the "Premier League" standings, trailing on goal difference behind leaders Manchester City, while Brighton moved up to third place with 10 points.
Manchester City has the opportunity to take sole possession of the top spot if they win or draw against Sunderland tomorrow (Sunday).
