مهما كان حرص دول التحالف على استعادة اليمن من يد عصابة الغدر والخيانة، ومهما بلغت قرارات ومجهودات إعادة الشرعية إلى عاصمتها صنعاء، وبقدر ما تتضافر الجهود السياسية والعسكرية للتمكين لمؤسسات تحفظ الأمن، وتكفل الاستقرار لدولة المواطنة والقانون، إلا أن كل ذلك لا يُغني من المبادرات والمحاولات شيئاً؛ إن لم يكن اليمنيون على قلب رجل واحد في هذه المواجهة مع المليشيات، التي انقلبت على كل القيم والمبادئ والأعراف والأخلاق والتقاليد؛ والاصطفاف خلف غاية واحدة، تتمثل في تحرير البلاد وتخليص العباد من جور تجاوزات مورست على أبرياء طيلة عقد من الزمن المسلوب من حياتهم وحياة أسرهم وتاريخ وطنهم.

يعيش يمنيون في المنافي (اختياراً أم اضطراراً)، وربما يشعرون بطمأنينة في ظل عيش الكفاف، مع توفر رواتب أو إعانة وتأمين مدارس لأولادهم وخدمات صحية ورعاية اجتماعية؛ ولعل مثل هذا الشعور بالاستقرار النسبي يُنسي صاحب القضية قضيته؛ أو يخدره لبعض الوقت، وتصبح الأشياء في عينيه متساوية، ومثل هذه الظروف الوقتية الخادعة تدفع للتصالح مع واقع غير منصف ولا موضوعي، يُضعف بتراكميته حس الانتماء للوطن وقضيته؛ وحينها يتضاءل الأمل في تحقيق أي انتصار؛ ولو تحققت انتصارات للتحالف لن تجد من يعززها ولا يحافظ عليها.

وليس من مجال يتسع، لحصر الشعوب التي سلّمت قضاياها العادلة إلى غيرها، واكتفت بموقف المُتفرج أو المُحلل أو السمسار الذي يلعب كالأراجوز على كل الحبال، إلى أن فُقد الأمل في عودة الدولة، أو تحرير الوطن من الاحتلال، ومقابل ذلك، هناك شعوب واجهت كبرى دول العالم في حروب استقلال ونجحت في دحرها، فالعزيمة الصادقة تذيب كل المخاوف والتحديات، وإن لم تستشعر كافة الأطياف اليمنية أن تحرير اليمن مسؤولية الجميع، فالجهود المُضنية عُرضة للذهاب أدراج الرياح، وقديماً قالوا في الأمثال «عمود الضيعة راعيها، وباقي الخلق فزاعة».

No matter how keen the coalition countries are to restore Yemen from the hands of the gang of treachery and betrayal, and no matter how far the decisions and efforts to return legitimacy to its capital, Sana'a, have reached, and to the extent that political and military efforts converge to empower institutions that preserve security and ensure stability for a state of citizenship and law, all of this does not replace the need for initiatives and attempts; if the Yemenis are not united in this confrontation with the militias, which have turned against all values, principles, customs, morals, and traditions; and aligning behind a single goal, which is to liberate the country and free the people from the oppression that has been inflicted on innocents for a decade stolen from their lives, the lives of their families, and the history of their homeland.

Yemenis live in exile (whether by choice or necessity), and they may feel a sense of security in the midst of a meager existence, with salaries or aid available, and schools for their children, along with health services and social care; and perhaps such a feeling of relative stability makes the person with the cause forget their cause; or dulls them for some time, and things become equal in their eyes, and such deceptive temporary circumstances push them to reconcile with an unfair and subjective reality, which weakens the sense of belonging to the homeland and its cause; and at that point, hope diminishes in achieving any victory; even if victories are achieved for the coalition, there will be no one to reinforce or maintain them.

There is no room to encompass the peoples that have surrendered their just causes to others, contenting themselves with the position of the spectator, analyst, or broker who plays like a puppet on all strings, until hope is lost in the return of the state, or the liberation of the homeland from occupation. In contrast, there are peoples that have faced the major countries of the world in wars of independence and succeeded in defeating them; for sincere determination melts away all fears and challenges. If all Yemeni factions do not feel that liberating Yemen is everyone's responsibility, then the exhausting efforts are at risk of going to waste, and as the old saying goes, "The pillar of the village is its shepherd, and the rest are just scarecrows."
