تحدث مدرب برشلونة السابق كيكي سيتين عن تجربته مع الفريق الكتالوني، مؤكداً أنه لا يشعر بأي ندم على تفضيل عرض برشلونة على أحد العروض التي تلقاها من مصر خلال تلك الفترة.

وكان اسم كيكي سيتين قد ارتبط بتولي القيادة الفنية لفريق بيراميدز المصري في عام 2020، قبل أن يتلقى المدرب الإسباني عرضاً مفاجئاً من برشلونة، وهو ما غيّر وجهته.

اختلاف الظروف بين الماضي والحاضر

وقال سيتين في تصريحات نقلتها صحيفة «آس» الإسبانية: «لست نادماً على تدريب برشلونة بدلاً من الذهاب إلى مصر، صحيح أنني كنت أتمنى أن يكون الوضع مختلفاً، ففي الوقت الحالي يمر برشلونة بمرحلة رائعة، يضم شباباً متحمسين، إلى جانب أجواء إيجابية داخل الفريق، لكن للأسف الوضع كان مختلفاً تماماً عندما توليت المهمة».

مستحقات برشلونة انتهت.. وأزمة مع فياريال

وعن مستحقاته المالية لدى برشلونة، أوضح سيتين: «تم حلّ كل شيء الآن، استغرق برشلونة من ثلاث إلى أربع سنوات لدفع مستحقاتي، لكنهم سددوا جميع الأموال المستحقة، ولم يعد عليهم أي شيء».

وختم: «حالياً أنتظر مستحقاتي لدى فياريال، إذ لم أتلقَ أي مبالغ حتى الآن، رغم مرور نحو ثلاث سنوات، القضية معروضة أمام المحكمة، ولم أتوقع أن تحدث مثل هذه الأمور في أندية كبيرة».

Former Barcelona coach Quique Setién spoke about his experience with the Catalan team, confirming that he has no regrets about choosing Barcelona's offer over one he received from Egypt during that time.

Setién's name was linked to taking over the coaching position of the Egyptian team Pyramids in 2020, before the Spanish coach received a surprising offer from Barcelona, which changed his direction.

The difference in circumstances between the past and the present

Setién said in statements reported by the Spanish newspaper "AS": "I do not regret coaching Barcelona instead of going to Egypt. It is true that I wished the situation were different, as Barcelona is currently going through a wonderful phase, with enthusiastic young players, along with a positive atmosphere within the team. Unfortunately, the situation was completely different when I took on the role."

Barcelona's dues are settled... and a crisis with Villarreal

Regarding his financial dues with Barcelona, Setién clarified: "Everything has been resolved now; it took Barcelona three to four years to pay my dues, but they have settled all the owed amounts, and they no longer owe me anything."

He concluded: "Currently, I am waiting for my dues from Villarreal, as I have not received any amounts so far, despite nearly three years passing. The case is before the court, and I did not expect such things to happen in big clubs."
