تُفتتح مساء اليوم (الإثنين) بطولة كأس العرب 2025 والمقامة حالياً في قطر بمواجهتين، إذ يلتقي تونس بمنتخب سورية (4:00 عصراً)، ويواجه قطر منتخب فلسطين (7:30مساء)، وذلك ضمن لقاءات المجموعة الأولى في البطولة.

في المواجهة الأولى، يدخل منتخب تونس لقاءه أمام المنتخب السوري بحثاً عن الفوز والنقاط الثلاث، لا سيما بعد أن حقق المنتخب التونسي تطورًا هائلًا تحت قيادة المدرب سامي طرابلسي، فمنذ أن تم تعيينه مدربًا للمنتخب الأول في فبراير الماضي حقق 6 انتصارات في 6 مباريات في تصفيات كأس العالم 2026 ليحسم بطاقة التأهل، ودون أن تتلقى شباك فريقه أي هدف، كما نجح بالتعادل أخيرًا مع البرازيل في مباراة ودية. ورغم أنه يغيب العديد من النجوم البارزين عن صفوف المنتخب في كأس العرب خصوصًا الناشطين في بطولات أوروبا، إلّا أن الثقة تبقى مرتفعة بنسور قرطاج للتفوق على إنجازهم في النسخة الماضية.

فيما يطمح المنتخب السوري للخروج بنتيجة إيجابية للمنافسة على إحدى بطاقتي التأهل للمجموعة، لا سيما بعد أن أظهر المنتخب السوري تطورًا لافتًا منذ تولّي خوسيه لانا القيادة الفنية في منتصف عام 2024، حيث افتتح مشواره في التصفيات بفوز مريح على جنوب السودان بنتيجة 2-0، مُعزّزًا سلسلة نتائجه الإيجابية في عام لم يخسر خلاله سوى مباراة واحدة. ورغم احتمال غياب عدد من محترفيه في أوروبا، فإن الفريق لا يزال يزخر بالمواهب، وفي مقدمتهم الهدّاف عمر خربين والجناح الحيوي محمد الصلخدي.

وفي اللقاء الآخر لذات المجموعة، يدخل منتخب قطر لقاءه أمام المنتخب الفلسطيني بحثاً عن بداية قوية، بعد أن بدأ في استعادة قوته مع المدرب لوبيتيجي الذي نجح في أن يقودهم إلى كأس العالم 2026 للمرة الثانية في تاريخ المنتخب، والأولى عبر التصفيات، وذلك بعد تصدر المجموعة الأولى في المرحلة الرابعة من التصفيات بعد الفوز على الإمارات في المباراة الحاسمة 2-1. ومع امتلاك عاملي الأرض والجمهور، يسعى العنابي لتحقيق إنجازٍ جديد، فيما يتطلع المنتخب الفلسطيني لظهور قوي في البطولة، التي وصل إليها بعد أن تجاوز المنتخب الليبي في التصفيات التمهيدية التي جرت في الدوحة، ويدخل المنتخب الفلسطيني البطولة بطموح تجاوز دور المجموعات للمرة الأولى في الظهور السادس في البطولة، معولًا على مستويات مميزة قدمها في التصفيات المؤهلة إلى نهائيات بطولة كأس العالم 2026 رغم عدم التأهل.

The Arab Cup 2025 kicks off this evening (Monday) in Qatar with two matches, as Tunisia faces the Syrian national team (4:00 PM), and Qatar takes on Palestine (7:30 PM), as part of the first group matches in the tournament.

In the first match, the Tunisian national team enters its encounter against the Syrian team in search of victory and the three points, especially after the Tunisian team has made tremendous progress under the leadership of coach Sami Trabelsi. Since his appointment as head coach in February, the team has achieved 6 victories in 6 matches in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, securing a qualification spot without conceding any goals, and recently managed to draw with Brazil in a friendly match. Although many prominent stars are absent from the team in the Arab Cup, particularly those active in European competitions, confidence remains high in the Eagles of Carthage to surpass their achievement in the last edition.

Meanwhile, the Syrian national team aims to achieve a positive result to compete for one of the qualification spots in the group, especially after showing remarkable development since José Lana took over as head coach in mid-2024. The team opened its qualifying campaign with a comfortable 2-0 victory over South Sudan, enhancing a series of positive results in a year where they have lost only one match. Despite the potential absence of several professionals in Europe, the team is still rich in talent, notably the top scorer Omar Kharbin and the dynamic winger Mohamed Salakhdi.

In the other match of the same group, the Qatari national team enters its encounter against the Palestinian team seeking a strong start, after beginning to regain its strength under coach Lopetegui, who successfully led them to the 2026 World Cup for the second time in the team's history, and the first through the qualifiers, after topping Group A in the fourth stage of the qualifiers following a decisive 2-1 victory over the UAE. With the advantage of home ground and crowd support, the Maroons aim to achieve a new accomplishment, while the Palestinian team looks for a strong showing in the tournament, which they reached after overcoming the Libyan team in the preliminary qualifiers held in Doha. The Palestinian team enters the tournament with the ambition of advancing beyond the group stage for the first time in their sixth appearance in the tournament, relying on the impressive performances they delivered in the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, despite not qualifying.
