Attempt to Keep Lebanon Out of Escalation

In light of this reality, the Lebanese arena has become one of the influential factors in the course of the regional conflict, having become part of the network of interests and mutual pressures between Washington, Tehran, and Tel Aviv.

The Israeli raid on the suburb came at a highly sensitive time, after the United States had sought over the past months to separate the Lebanese track from the Iranian-Israeli confrontation, and to keep Lebanon out of any broad regional escalation. However, recent developments have shown that this separation has become more difficult, and that any significant security development on the Lebanese scene could directly reflect on the broader confrontation in the region.
