التقى وزير الطاقة الأمير عبدالعزيز بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، اليوم في الرياض، وزير التجارة والصناعة والموارد في جمهورية كوريا، كيم جونغ هوان، وتم بحث الموضوعات ذات الاهتمام المشترك وسبل تعزيز التعاون والاستثمار في قطاع الطاقة.

وعقب الاجتماع، وقع الجانبان مذكرة تفاهم في مجال البترول والغاز، تهدف إلى تعزيز التعاون بين المملكة وجمهورية كوريا بما يدعم المصالح المشتركة للبلدين ويعزز الشراكة بينهما.

وتشمل المذكرة التعاون في مجالات البترول والغاز ومشتقاتهما، والتكرير والبتروكيميائيات، وتطوير الشراكات الاستثمارية ذات الصلة بقطاع الطاقة، بما في ذلك التعاون لزيادة تخزين الخام السعودي في احتياطي البترول الإستراتيجي الكوري، مما يعزز استقرار الإمدادات ومرونتها. كما تم بحث فرص التعاون بين البلدين في تطوير مشاريع البنية التحتية المرتبطة بخطوط أنابيب البترول الخام التي تربط مرافق الإنتاج والتصدير. وتتناول المذكرة أيضاً تعزيز التعاون في مجالات الابتكار والتقنيات المتقدمة والتحول الرقمي، وتنمية الشراكات في البحث والتطوير، ودعم الجهود المرتبطة بالاستدامة وتطوير البنية التحتية لقطاع الطاقة.

Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz met today in Riyadh with the Minister of Trade, Industry, and Resources of the Republic of Korea, Kim Jong-hwan. They discussed topics of mutual interest and ways to enhance cooperation and investment in the energy sector.

Following the meeting, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of oil and gas, aimed at enhancing cooperation between the Kingdom and the Republic of Korea to support the shared interests of both countries and strengthen their partnership.

The memorandum includes cooperation in the fields of oil and gas and their derivatives, refining and petrochemicals, and the development of investment partnerships related to the energy sector, including cooperation to increase the storage of Saudi crude in the Korean Strategic Petroleum Reserve, thereby enhancing supply stability and flexibility. Opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in developing infrastructure projects related to crude oil pipelines connecting production and export facilities were also discussed. The memorandum also addresses enhancing cooperation in the fields of innovation, advanced technologies, and digital transformation, developing partnerships in research and development, and supporting efforts related to sustainability and the development of energy sector infrastructure.
