The American authorities revealed details of the theft of equipment belonging to the English national team's mission, valued at approximately $18,000, during their transfer to Kansas City in preparation for the opening match of the "Three Lions" against Croatia in the 2026 World Cup.

Prosecutors in Jackson County, Missouri, have charged two individuals in connection with the incident, after a shipment containing technical analysis equipment and boards used by the coaching staff led by German Thomas Tuchel, as well as personal belongings of some players including Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham, was stolen while being transported to the team's accommodation.

The incident initially raised concerns about the potential leak of tactical information regarding the team, before Jackson County District Attorney Melissa Johnson reassured fans by confirming that a large portion of the stolen items had been recovered. She stated, "We thank the Kansas City Police Department and the prosecution team for their swift work in the investigation, and we are committed to holding those involved accountable."
