ألقى وزير الدولة للشؤون الخارجية عضو مجلس الوزراء ومبعوث شؤون المناخ عادل بن أحمد الجبير، في نيويورك، كلمة المملكة في الاجتماع رفيع المستوى لمجموعة أصدقاء التحالف الدولي للحضارات، وذلك على هامش أعمال الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة في دورتها الحادية والثمانين.

وبين الجبير خلال الكلمة الأهمية التي توليها المملكة للحوار والتعايش بين أتباع الأديان والحضارات، منوهاً بالدور المهم الذي يقوم به التحالف الدولي للحضارات من أجل نشر ثقافة الحوار والتفاهم ومكافحة خطاب الكراهية والإسهام في المحافظة على المواقع الدينية والموروث الثقافي.

واستعرض ما تقوم به المملكة لدعم هذه الجهود، انطلاقاً من إيمانها بأن الحوار والتعايش واحترام الأديان والتنوع الثقافي تمثل الركائز الأساسية لحفظ الأمن والاستقرار.

وذكر الجبير في هذا السياق أن استضافة المملكة للمنتدى الحادي عشر للتحالف الدولي للحضارات في الرياض في شهر ديسمبر 2025 بمشاركة دولية واسعة، كان فرصة للاطلاع على ما تحقق من إنجازاته خلال العقدين الماضيين منذ تأسيس التحالف.

وأكد أهمية متابعة تنفيذ مخرجات البيان الختامي للمنتدى من خلال تجديد الالتزام المشترك بالعمل الجماعي متعدد الأطراف، واحترام القانون الدولي، واستمرار الحوار بين اتباع الأديان والثقافات.

وشدد الجبير على أن الحوار يبقى الوسيلة الأنجح لصون التنوع ومنع النزاعات ونشر التسامح وبناء مجتمعات متماسكة ونشر السلام.

وفي الختام عبر الوزير عادل الجبير عن التزام المملكة بالإسهام في الجهود البناءة التي يقودها التحالف الدولي للحضارات، والعمل مع التحالف والدول الأعضاء فيه والشركاء المعنيين للدفع نحو ثقافة السلام والتسامح والتعايش والاحترام المتبادل.

The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Member of the Cabinet, and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, delivered the Kingdom's speech at the high-level meeting of the Group of Friends of the Alliance of Civilizations in New York, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

During his speech, Al-Jubeir highlighted the importance the Kingdom places on dialogue and coexistence among followers of different religions and civilizations, noting the significant role played by the Alliance of Civilizations in promoting a culture of dialogue and understanding, combating hate speech, and contributing to the preservation of religious sites and cultural heritage.

He reviewed what the Kingdom is doing to support these efforts, stemming from its belief that dialogue, coexistence, respect for religions, and cultural diversity are the fundamental pillars for maintaining security and stability.

In this context, Al-Jubeir mentioned that the Kingdom's hosting of the 11th forum of the Alliance of Civilizations in Riyadh in December 2025, with wide international participation, was an opportunity to learn about the achievements made over the past two decades since the establishment of the Alliance.

He emphasized the importance of following up on the implementation of the outcomes of the forum's final statement through renewing the shared commitment to collective multilateral action, respecting international law, and continuing dialogue among followers of different religions and cultures.

Al-Jubeir stressed that dialogue remains the most effective means to preserve diversity, prevent conflicts, promote tolerance, build cohesive communities, and spread peace.

In conclusion, Minister Adel Al-Jubeir expressed the Kingdom's commitment to contributing to the constructive efforts led by the Alliance of Civilizations and working with the Alliance, its member states, and relevant partners to promote a culture of peace, tolerance, coexistence, and mutual respect.
