طالب الاتحاد البحريني لكرة القدم الأمانة العامة للاتحاد الخليجي لكرة القدم باستخدام صلاحية «الإحالة الذاتية» للنظر في قانونية مشاركة لاعب المنتخب القطري عاصم مادبو خلال مباراة البحرين وقطر في بطولة «خليجي 27».

وأوضح الاتحاد البحريني، في بيان، أن الفقرة السابعة من المادة 19 بلائحة الانضباط والاستئناف تمنح الأمانة العامة صلاحية إحالة المخالفات التي لم ينتبه إليها مسؤولو المباراة. وأضاف أن الفقرة الثامنة من المادة نفسها تنص، بحسب تفسيره، على أن عدم الإحالة خلال المدة المحددة لا يُسقط الحق في اتخاذها.

وأشار البيان إلى أن ما وصفه بتأثير مشاركة مادبو على قانونية المباراة أصبح معلومًا للأمانة العامة بعد تقديم الاحتجاج. ويرى الاتحاد البحريني أن تحرير المخالفة لا يتوقف على تقديم احتجاج رسمي، ما دامت اللائحة قد منحت الأمانة العامة صلاحية مستقلة لإحالتها متى تبيّنتها.

واستند الاتحاد البحريني أيضًا إلى الفقرة الرابعة من المادة 55، قائلًا إن إشراك لاعب غير مؤهل يُعد مخالفة تستوجب اعتبار المنتخب خاسرًا بنتيجة 3-0. وشدد على أن طلب الإحالة يهدف إلى معالجة ما يراه مسألة مؤثرة في صحة المباراة، حتى في حال عدم إثارتها ضمن المدة المحددة للاحتجاج.

وتبقى هذه المطالبات موقفًا معلنًا من الاتحاد البحريني، بانتظار نظر الجهات المختصة في القضية وإصدار قرار بشأن أهلية مشاركة اللاعب ونتيجة المباراة.

The Bahrain Football Association has requested the General Secretariat of the Gulf Football Federation to use the "self-referral" authority to consider the legality of Qatari national team player Asim Madbou's participation during the match between Bahrain and Qatar in the "Gulf 27" tournament.

The Bahrain Football Association clarified in a statement that paragraph seven of Article 19 of the Disciplinary and Appeals Regulations grants the General Secretariat the authority to refer violations that were not noticed by the match officials. It added that paragraph eight of the same article states, according to its interpretation, that failure to refer within the specified time does not negate the right to do so.

The statement indicated that what it described as the impact of Madbou's participation on the legality of the match became known to the General Secretariat after the protest was submitted. The Bahrain Football Association believes that the issuance of a violation does not depend on the submission of an official protest, as long as the regulations have granted the General Secretariat independent authority to refer it whenever it is identified.

The Bahrain Football Association also relied on paragraph four of Article 55, stating that the inclusion of an ineligible player is considered a violation that requires the team to be deemed the loser with a score of 3-0. It emphasized that the referral request aims to address what it sees as an issue affecting the validity of the match, even if it was not raised within the specified time for protest.

These demands remain a public stance from the Bahrain Football Association, awaiting the relevant authorities to consider the case and issue a decision regarding the player's eligibility and the match result.
