أعلنت هيئة قناة السويس ارتفاع حركة الملاحة والإيرادات خلال أغسطس الماضي، مع عبور 1358 سفينة بإجمالي حمولات صافية بلغت 68.3 مليون طن، مقابل 1070 سفينة بحمولات صافية 45.2 مليون طن خلال الشهر نفسه من العام الماضي.

وقال الفريق أسامة ربيع، رئيس هيئة قناة السويس، إن إيرادات القناة ارتفعت خلال أغسطس إلى 567.1 مليون دولار، مقابل 326 مليون دولار في أغسطس 2025، بزيادة بلغت 56.7%، فيما ارتفع عدد السفن العابرة بنسبة 27% والحمولات الصافية بنسبة 51.1%.

وتعكس بيانات الملاحة تحسناً ملحوظاً في حركة العبور بالقناة، في وقت تواجه فيه التجارة العالمية اضطرابات جيوسياسية انعكست خلال السنوات الأخيرة على حركة السفن وسلاسل الإمداد ومسارات النقل البحري.

وأكد ربيع، خلال مشاركته في احتفالية اليوم البحري العالمي لعام 2026 في الإسكندرية، أن قناة السويس آمنة وأن حركة الملاحة بها منتظمة، مشدداً على استمرار عمل الخدمات البحرية بكفاءة، وجاهزية المرشدين لمواكبة حاجات السفن العابرة.

وأوضح أن المتغيرات الدولية والإقليمية أظهرت أهمية القناة في تأمين سلاسل الإمداد العالمية، مؤكداً أن الهيئة تتعامل مع التحديات الراهنة من خلال سياسات مرنة وحلول تستهدف رفع الكفاءة التشغيلية وتعزيز قدرة القطاع البحري على مواجهة التطورات المتسارعة.

وأشار رئيس الهيئة إلى أن إستراتيجية قناة السويس لا تقتصر على عائدات عبور السفن، وإنما تستهدف تنويع مصادر الدخل وتوسيع نطاق الخدمات البحرية، بالتوازي مع توطين صناعة الوحدات البحرية وتطوير الترسانات والشركات التابعة للهيئة.

وفي هذا الإطار، تعمل الهيئة على تعزيز خدمات بناء وإصلاح السفن وتموينها بالوقود والإسعاف البحري وتبادل الأطقم، إلى جانب تطوير خدمات بحرية أخرى تستهدف تلبية حاجات الخطوط الملاحية والسفن أثناء عبورها القناة.

كما أشار ربيع إلى التوسع في الشراكات مع القطاع الخاص والانفتاح على الأسواق الدولية لتسويق المنتجات البحرية، بما يدعم تحول الهيئة إلى كيان أكثر تنوعاً في أنشطة النقل والخدمات البحرية.

ولفت إلى مشاركة الهيئة في تطوير عدد من الموانئ العربية والإفريقية، من بينها ميناء سرت الليبي الذي جرى افتتاحه بعد 14 عاماً من الإغلاق، إلى جانب قيام أكاديمية التدريب البحري والمحاكاة التابعة للهيئة بنمذجة ميناء رأس الخير السعودي، والتفاوض بشأن نمذجة ميناءين في ناميبيا وتدريب دفعات من المرشدين وقباطنة القاطرات بهما.

وتأتي مؤشرات أغسطس في ظل مساعي قناة السويس لاستعادة مستويات الحركة والإيرادات التي تأثرت خلال الفترة الماضية بالاضطرابات الأمنية في منطقة البحر الأحمر، والتي دفعت شركات وخطوطاً ملاحية إلى تغيير مسارات بعض السفن، ما أثر على حركة العبور والإيرادات.

وتؤكد الهيئة أن استمرار تطوير الخدمات البحرية وتنويع مصادر الدخل يمثلان جزءاً من إستراتيجية التعامل مع المتغيرات في سوق النقل البحري، بالتوازي مع الحفاظ على قدرة القناة على أداء دورها الرئيسي كممر ملاحي عالمي يربط بين البحرين الأحمر والمتوسط.

The Suez Canal Authority announced an increase in navigation traffic and revenues during August, with 1,358 ships crossing and a total net tonnage of 68.3 million tons, compared to 1,070 ships with a net tonnage of 45.2 million tons during the same month last year.

Lieutenant General Osama Rabie, head of the Suez Canal Authority, stated that the canal's revenues rose in August to $567.1 million, compared to $326 million in August 2025, an increase of 56.7%. Meanwhile, the number of transiting ships increased by 27% and net tonnage by 51.1%.

The navigation data reflects a significant improvement in transit traffic through the canal at a time when global trade is facing geopolitical disruptions that have affected shipping movements, supply chains, and maritime transport routes in recent years.

Rabie confirmed, during his participation in the World Maritime Day celebration for 2026 in Alexandria, that the Suez Canal is safe and that navigation traffic is regular, emphasizing the continued efficient operation of maritime services and the readiness of pilots to meet the needs of transiting ships.

He explained that international and regional changes have highlighted the importance of the canal in securing global supply chains, affirming that the authority is addressing current challenges through flexible policies and solutions aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and strengthening the maritime sector's ability to cope with rapid developments.

The head of the authority pointed out that the Suez Canal strategy is not limited to revenues from ship crossings but aims to diversify income sources and expand the range of maritime services, alongside localizing the marine unit industry and developing the authority's affiliated shipyards and companies.

In this context, the authority is working to enhance shipbuilding and repair services, fuel supply, marine ambulance services, and crew exchanges, in addition to developing other maritime services aimed at meeting the needs of shipping lines and vessels while transiting the canal.

Rabie also mentioned the expansion of partnerships with the private sector and opening up to international markets to market marine products, which supports the authority's transformation into a more diversified entity in transport and maritime services.

He noted the authority's participation in the development of several Arab and African ports, including the Libyan port of Sirte, which was reopened after 14 years of closure, as well as the maritime training and simulation academy affiliated with the authority modeling the Saudi port of Ras Al Khair and negotiating the modeling of two ports in Namibia and training batches of pilots and tugboat captains there.

The indicators for August come amid the Suez Canal's efforts to restore traffic and revenue levels that were affected in the past period by security disturbances in the Red Sea region, which prompted companies and shipping lines to change the routes of some ships, impacting transit traffic and revenues.

The authority confirms that the continued development of maritime services and diversification of income sources are part of the strategy to deal with changes in the maritime transport market, alongside maintaining the canal's ability to perform its main role as a global maritime corridor linking the Red and Mediterranean Seas.
