قبل أن تدور الكرة معلنة انطلاق منافسات كأس «خليجي 27» في جدة، تحمل قائمة المنتخب الكويتي قصة مختلفة تتجاوز حسابات النتائج والنقاط، وتختصر في تفاصيلها رحلة جيلين جمعهما قميص واحد، رغم أنه يفصل بينهما 21 عاماً.

الحكاية طرفاها خالد الرشيدي وعبدالله القرزعي؛ الأول يدخل البطولة بعمر 39 عاماً كأكبر لاعبي المنتخبات الخليجية المشاركة، حاملاً معه سنوات طويلة من الخبرة وتجارب الملاعب، فيما يقف القرزعي على الطرف الآخر بعمر 18 عاماً، كأصغر اللاعبين المشاركين، وفي حقيبته أحلام البدايات وطموح كتابة أولى صفحات حكايته مع «الأزرق».
