شهد الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، تجربة إطلاق صاروخ باليستي استراتيجي عابر للقارات من غواصة نووية فرنسية، في خطوة تأتي في إطار تدريبات القوات المسلحة الفرنسية واختبار جاهزية منظومة الردع النووي للبلاد.

وأعلنت الرئاسة الفرنسية ووزارة القوات المسلحة أن ماكرون تابع عملية الإطلاق من على متن فرقاطة تابعة للبحرية الفرنسية قبالة سواحل منطقة فينيستير شمال غربي فرنسا.

وقالت وزارة القوات المسلحة إن التجربة شملت ما وصفته بـ «أول إطلاق تجريبي» لصاروخ باليستي استراتيجي من طراز M51.3، وهو الجيل الثالث من صاروخ «M51» البحري-البري، الذي دخل الخدمة قبل نحو عام.

صاروخ بلا رأس نووي

وأكدت الوزارة أن الصاروخ المستخدم في التجربة كان دون حمولة نووية، في إطار الطابع التدريبي والاختباري للعملية.

وبحسب البيان، سقط الصاروخ في شمال المحيط الأطلسي، على بعد مئات الكيلومترات من أي سواحل، بعد إتمام مساره التجريبي.

وتندرج التجربة ضمن اختبارات فرنسا الدورية لقدراتها الإستراتيجية، ولا سيما منظومة الصواريخ التي تطلقها غواصات الصواريخ الباليستية النووية، والتي تشكل أحد المكونات الأساسية لقوة الردع النووي الفرنسية.

اختبار للجاهزية الإستراتيجية الفرنسية

ويأتي حضور ماكرون عملية الإطلاق في ظل اهتمام فرنسي متزايد بالحفاظ على القدرات الإستراتيجية للقوات المسلحة وتحديث منظومة الردع النووي.

ويُعد صاروخ M51 من أهم عناصر القوة النووية الفرنسية البحرية، إذ صُمم للإطلاق من غواصات الصواريخ الباليستية النووية التابعة للبحرية الفرنسية.

وتسمح عمليات الإطلاق التجريبية للجيش الفرنسي باختبار أداء الصاروخ والمنظومات المرتبطة به، دون استخدام رؤوس نووية.

وتؤكد باريس أن قوة الردع النووي تمثل جزءاً أساسياً من إستراتيجية الدفاع الفرنسية، فيما تأتي هذه التجربة ضمن جهود تحديث القدرات الإستراتيجية للبلاد وضمان جاهزيتها على المدى الطويل.

French President Emmanuel Macron witnessed today (Tuesday) the launch of an intercontinental strategic ballistic missile from a French nuclear submarine, in a move that is part of the training exercises of the French armed forces and testing the readiness of the country's nuclear deterrent system.

The French presidency and the Ministry of Armed Forces announced that Macron monitored the launch operation from aboard a French Navy frigate off the coast of the Finistère region in northwestern France.

The Ministry of Armed Forces stated that the experiment included what it described as the "first test launch" of the M51.3 strategic ballistic missile, which is the third generation of the sea-land "M51" missile that entered service about a year ago.

Missile without a nuclear warhead

The ministry confirmed that the missile used in the experiment was without a nuclear payload, in line with the training and testing nature of the operation.

According to the statement, the missile fell in the northern Atlantic Ocean, hundreds of kilometers away from any coast, after completing its test trajectory.

This experiment is part of France's periodic tests of its strategic capabilities, particularly the missile systems launched from nuclear ballistic missile submarines, which are one of the core components of the French nuclear deterrent force.

Test of French strategic readiness

Macron's presence at the launch operation comes amid increasing French interest in maintaining the strategic capabilities of the armed forces and modernizing the nuclear deterrent system.

The M51 missile is considered one of the most important elements of the French naval nuclear force, as it is designed to be launched from the French Navy's nuclear ballistic missile submarines.

Test launches allow the French military to assess the missile's performance and the associated systems, without using nuclear warheads.

Paris emphasizes that the nuclear deterrent force is a fundamental part of the French defense strategy, while this experiment is part of efforts to modernize the country's strategic capabilities and ensure its long-term readiness.
