شاركت السعودية في الاجتماع الحادي والسبعين للجنة التعاون التجاري بدول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية برئاسة وزير التجارة رئيس مجلس إدارة الهيئة العامة للتجارة الخارجية الدكتور ماجد بن عبدالله القصبي، أمس، بمشاركة الأمين العام لمجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية جاسم بن محمد البديوي، ووزراء التجارة من دول المجلس.

قانون حماية المستهلك

وشهد الاجتماع مناقشة مستجدات مفاوضات اتفاقيات التجارة الحرة مع الدول والتكتلات الدولية، ومتابعة مستجدات تنفيذ القوانين التجارية لدول المجلس، ومناقشة مستجدات قانون حماية المستهلك لدول المجلس، إضافةً إلى أعمال اللجان التابعة للجنة. واطلع المشاركون على تقرير الأمانة العامة بشأن تنفيذ القرارات السابقة للجنة، ومستجدات توسع المنشآت الصغيرة والمتوسطة في دول المجلس، إضافةً إلى الاطلاع على الإجراءات المتخذة لأمانة المجلس بشأن الأوضاع الراهنة للمنطقة. وشارك القصبي في الاجتماع الوزاري للجنة التعاون التجاري، والاجتماع الثاني عشر للجنة الوزارية لشؤون التقييس، والافتتاح الرسمي لمعرض ومنتدى صنع في الخليج، واللقاء التشاوري بين وزراء التجارة والصناعة ورؤساء اتحادات وغرف دول المجلس، واللقاء التشاوري لوزراء التجارة والصناعة مع رواد الأعمال الخليجيين.

لقاءات ثنائية

وعلى هامش الاجتماع عقد القصبي لقاءات ثنائية مع كل من الأمين العام لمجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية جاسم محمد البديوي، ووزير الدولة للشؤون الاقتصادية والاستثمار ووزير التجارة والصناعة الكويتي بالوكالة عبدالعزيز المرزوق، ووزير الصناعة والتجارة البحريني عبدالله فخرو، والمفوض التجاري لملك بريطانيا في الشرق الأوسط وباكستان جيما ستيفنسون. يُذكر أن حجم التبادل التجاري بين المملكة ودول مجلس التعاون الخليجي لعام 2025م، بلغ نحو 268 مليار ريال، فيما بلغت صادرات المملكة لدول الخليج ما يقارب 186 مليار ريال.

Saudi Arabia participated in the seventy-first meeting of the Committee for Trade Cooperation among the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, chaired by the Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Foreign Trade, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, yesterday, with the participation of the Secretary-General of the GCC, Jasem bin Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, and the Ministers of Commerce from the member states.

Consumer Protection Law

The meeting witnessed discussions on the latest developments in negotiations for free trade agreements with countries and international blocs, the follow-up on the implementation of commercial laws in the member states, and discussions on the updates regarding the Consumer Protection Law for the member states, in addition to the work of the committees affiliated with the committee. Participants were briefed on the report from the General Secretariat regarding the implementation of previous committee decisions, the latest developments in the expansion of small and medium enterprises in the member states, as well as the measures taken by the Council's Secretariat regarding the current situation in the region. Al-Qasabi participated in the ministerial meeting of the Trade Cooperation Committee, the twelfth meeting of the Ministerial Committee for Standardization Affairs, the official opening of the Made in Gulf exhibition and forum, the consultative meeting between the Ministers of Commerce and Industry and the heads of federations and chambers of the member states, and the consultative meeting of the Ministers of Commerce and Industry with Gulf entrepreneurs.

Bi-lateral Meetings

On the sidelines of the meeting, Al-Qasabi held bilateral meetings with the Secretary-General of the GCC, Jasem Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, the Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment and Acting Minister of Commerce and Industry of Kuwait, Abdulaziz Al-Marzouq, the Bahraini Minister of Industry and Commerce, Abdullah Fakhro, and the UK Trade Commissioner for the Middle East and Pakistan, Gemma Stevenson. It is noteworthy that the volume of trade exchange between the Kingdom and the GCC countries for the year 2025 is expected to reach approximately 268 billion riyals, while Saudi exports to the Gulf countries are around 186 billion riyals.
