أثار البوستر الرسمي للدورة الـ47 من مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي جدلاً واسعاً، بعد تصدر الفنانة الراحلة شادية للتصميم في صورة مستوحاة من شخصيتها «فؤادة» من فيلم «شيء من الخوف»، وسط انتقادات لاستخدام تقنيات الذكاء الاصطناعي في تصميمه.
كفانا قبحاً وسواداً
وأعربت الناقدة الفنية ماجدة خير الله عن استيائها من ألوان البوستر وطابعه البصري، معتبرة أنه لا يليق بمكانة شادية الفنية أو بتاريخ مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي.
وكتبت عبر حسابها على «فيسبوك»: "إيه كمية السواد اللي في الصورة دي؟ الأفيش خالٍ من أي سمات جمال، الفنانة شادية تستحق أفيشاً أكثر إبداعاً، ومهرجان القاهرة بعد 47 دورة يستحق أفيشاً يليق بمكانته العالمية، ياريت يكون فيه فرصة لإعادة النظر في الأفيش بحيث يكون أكثر بهجة ويعبر عن روعة فن السينما، وكفانا قبحاً وسواداً".
ولم تتوقف الانتقادات عند ماجدة خير الله، إذ أثار البوستر حالة من الجدل والاستياء عبر مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، وعبّر متابعون عن اعتراضهم على التصميم وطريقة تقديم صورة الفنانة الراحلة شادية، فيما تصاعد الحديث عن غضب داخل أسرتها.
دي شادية؟
وعلقت ناهد شاكر ابنة شقيقة شادية على البوستر عبر حسابها الرسمي في "فيسبوك"، منتقدةً الصورة النهائية ومدى تشابهها مع ملامح الفنانة الراحلة، وكتبت: "إيه المنظر ده؟ بالذمة دي شادية؟ واللي فهمته إن الدورة دي عن ترميم الأفلام، وده كده شيء من الخوف بعد ما ترمم، لا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله".
الذكاء الاصطناعي
من جانبه دافع رئيس مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي الفنان حسين فهمي، عن استخدام الذكاء الاصطناعي في تصميم البوستر، مؤكداً أهمية هذه التكنولوجيا في الوقت الحالي.
وقال فهمي، خلال المؤتمر الصحفي للمهرجان: "سياسة المهرجان تقوم على عدم عرض أفلام الذكاء الاصطناعي، لكنه مهم جداً في هذا العصر، ولذلك يهمنا الحديث عنه في المهرجان من خلال ورش عمل، والبوستر صمم بالذكاء الاصطناعي بالفعل، لكن الذكاء الاصطناعي هو المستقبل".
وأوضح أن موقف المهرجان من عرض الأفلام المنفذة بالذكاء الاصطناعي يرتبط بالقواعد المنظمة للمهرجانات التابعة للاتحاد الدولي لجمعيات منتجي الأفلام، مشيراً إلى أن أي تغيير في هذه القواعد سينعكس على موقف المهرجان.
The official poster for the 47th Cairo International Film Festival has sparked widespread controversy, as the late artist Shadia features prominently in a design inspired by her character "Fouada" from the film "Something of Fear," amid criticism over the use of artificial intelligence techniques in its design.
Enough of the ugliness and darkness
Art critic Magda Khairallah expressed her dissatisfaction with the colors of the poster and its visual style, considering it unworthy of Shadia's artistic stature or the history of the Cairo Film Festival.
She wrote on her Facebook account: "What is this amount of darkness in this picture? The poster is devoid of any beauty traits; artist Shadia deserves a more creative poster, and after 47 editions, the Cairo Festival deserves a poster that befits its global status. I hope there is an opportunity to reconsider the poster to make it more joyful and reflective of the magnificence of cinema art. Enough of the ugliness and darkness."
The criticism did not stop with Magda Khairallah; the poster has caused a stir and dissatisfaction across social media, with followers expressing their objections to the design and the way the image of the late artist Shadia was presented, while discussions about anger within her family intensified.
Is this Shadia?
Nahed Shakir, Shadia's niece, commented on the poster through her official Facebook account, criticizing the final image and how closely it resembles the features of the late artist. She wrote: "What is this look? Is this really Shadia? What I understood is that this edition is about film restoration, and this looks like something from fear after it was restored. There is no power and no strength except with God."
Artificial Intelligence
For his part, the president of the Cairo International Film Festival, artist Hussein Fahmy, defended the use of artificial intelligence in designing the poster, emphasizing the importance of this technology at the present time.
Fahmy said during the festival's press conference: "The festival's policy is based on not screening artificial intelligence films, but it is very important in this era, and therefore we care about discussing it at the festival through workshops. The poster was indeed designed using artificial intelligence, but artificial intelligence is the future."
He clarified that the festival's stance on screening films made using artificial intelligence is related to the rules governing festivals under the International Federation of Film Producers Associations, noting that any change in these rules will reflect on the festival's position.
