أكدت الفنانة المصرية ليلى علوي أن الأعمال السينمائية المميزة تبقى حاضرةً في ذاكرة الجمهور مهما تغيرت الظروف أو تبدلت معايير السوق، مشيرة إلى أن جودة العمل وقدرته على ملامسة المشاهد تظل العامل الأهم في استمراره ونجاحه عبر السنوات.

وخلال مشاركتها في فعاليات الدورة التاسعة من مهرجان الجونة السينمائي، أوضحت أن من أبرز التحديات التي تواجه السينما المصرية حاليًا تزايد المخاوف المرتبطة بالخسائر المالية، الأمر الذي يدفع بعض المنتجين والموزعين إلى تفضيل الأعمال المضمونة جماهيريًا على حساب التجارب الجديدة والأفكار المختلفة. وأشارت إلى أن الأزمة لا تكمن في غياب الأعمال الجيدة، بل في تراجع مساحة المغامرة الفنية، لافتة إلى أن حسابات الربح والخسارة باتت تؤثر بصورة أكبر في قرارات الإنتاج واختيار الموضوعات المطروحة على الشاشة.

واستشهدت ليلى بعددٍ من الأفلام التي وصفتها بالتجارب الناجحة والمختلفة، من بينها (رحلة 404) و(الهوى سلطان) و(احكي يا شهرزاد)، مؤكدة أن هذه الأعمال تثبت قدرة السينما الجيدة على الوصول إلى الجمهور رغم تغيرات السوق. كما استحضرت تجارب سابقة مثل فيلم (التخشيبة)، مشددة على أهمية وجود منتجين يمتلكون رؤية فنية ويؤمنون بالأفكار الجريئة، بما يتيح تقديم أعمال متنوعة تثري المشهد السينمائي.

وأكدت ليلى علوي أن السينما المصرية ما زالت تملك القدرة على إنتاج أعمال مؤثرة وناجحة، لكنها تحتاج إلى مساحة أوسع من التنوع والجرأة، بما يحقق التوازن بين الاعتبارات التجارية والطموحات الفنية.

The Egyptian artist Laila Elwi confirmed that remarkable cinematic works remain present in the audience's memory regardless of changing circumstances or shifting market standards, noting that the quality of the work and its ability to resonate with viewers remain the most important factors for its continuity and success over the years.

During her participation in the ninth edition of the El Gouna Film Festival, she explained that one of the main challenges facing Egyptian cinema currently is the increasing fears related to financial losses, which leads some producers and distributors to prefer commercially guaranteed works at the expense of new experiences and different ideas. She pointed out that the crisis does not lie in the absence of good works, but rather in the decline of artistic adventure, emphasizing that profit and loss calculations have begun to have a greater impact on production decisions and the selection of topics presented on screen.

Laila cited several films that she described as successful and different experiences, including (Journey 404), (Al-Hawa Sultan), and (Tell Me, Shahrazad), affirming that these works prove the ability of good cinema to reach the audience despite market changes. She also recalled previous experiences such as the film (Al-Takhshiba), stressing the importance of having producers with artistic vision who believe in bold ideas, which allows for the presentation of diverse works that enrich the cinematic scene.

Laila Elwi confirmed that Egyptian cinema still has the ability to produce impactful and successful works, but it needs a broader space for diversity and boldness, achieving a balance between commercial considerations and artistic ambitions.
