وصف نائب رئيس دائرة التوجيه المعنوي في محور تعز العقيد عبدالباسط البحر، المعركة التي دارت اليوم في عدد من جبهات تعز بـ«يوم الانتصار».

وقال البحر لـ«عكاظ»: «طوال الأيام الماضية فشلت كل محاولات الحوثي لاقتحام تعز رغم التعزيزات والعناصر القتالية وراجمات الصواريخ والدبابات وطيران مسير التي جلبها إلى تعز وخاض أكثر من معركة إلا أنه فشل»، مضيفاً: «لكن ما حدث اليوم منذ الساعات الأولى كانت الأعنف وهي بالنسبة لنا يوم الانتصارات لقد دفع بأفواج من مليشياته على دفعات في محيط المطار القديم والدفاع الجوي ومدارات ومحيط جبل الهان وباتجاه شارع 30 وحاول بكل مليشياته لكنه فشل أيضاً وتم دحره»، مبيناً أن هناك أكثر من 70 جثة التي تم حصرها في الشعاب والوديان وتم إحراق دوريات ومدفعية ثقيلة وعربات سواء بالطيران المسير أو الطيران".

وأشاد بدور الطيران في إسناد القوات على الأرض، مؤكداً أنه كان له الدور الفاعل في المعركة ودمر عدداً من الإمدادات واستهداف الاتصالات ومركز القيادة والسيطرة وأماكن التحشيد. ولفت إلى أن الغارات كانت دقيقة ومركزة وبقذائف ذكية وموجهة، معرباً عن شكره لتحالف دعم الشرعية بقيادة السعودية الذين يقدمون إسناداً على مختلف المجالات وفي مقدمتها المجال العسكري.

وأضاف: الدعم السعودي لم يتجاهل شيئاً بما فيها التنمية، ولعل الطريق الذي فجرها الحوثي اليوم وهي هجية العبد الحيوية والهامة كانت على حساب السعودية، مبيناً أن السعودية شقت الطريق لإيصال الحياة وأسباب الحياة إلى الملايين في مدينة تعز وجاء الحوثي بألغام إيران ليفجرها ويفاقم المعاناة الإنسانية.

ولفت إلى أن الحوثي حرم أبناء تعز اليوم من المواد الغذائية والوقود وغاز الطهي والمياه، والمستشفيات والتعليم، مبيناً أن الحوثي عدو للحياة.

من جهة أخرى، أقدمت مليشيا الحوثي على اختطاف عشرات المدنيين في منطقة قدس جنوبي تعز بعد إحراق سيارة لفريق حوثي يدعو للطائفية ونشر الأفكار الهدامة، مبينة أن المليشيا كانت في قرية المكيشة بمنطقة قدس مديرية المواسط بريف تعز تقيم محاضرة طائفية بمساجد المنطقة وتتخذ من مدرسة الفتح مقراً لإقامته، قام مجهولون بإضرام النار في السيارة التابعة للفريق، مما أدى إلى توتر الوضع وشنت المليشيا حملة اعتقالات ونشرت مسلحيها واستحدثت نقاط تفتيش.

The Deputy Head of the Moral Guidance Department in the Taiz Axis, Colonel Abdulbasit Al-Bahr, described the battle that took place today on several fronts in Taiz as a "Day of Victory."

Al-Bahr told "Okaz": "Throughout the past days, all attempts by the Houthis to storm Taiz have failed despite the reinforcements, combat elements, rocket launchers, tanks, and drones they brought to Taiz. They engaged in more than one battle but failed," adding: "However, what happened today from the early hours was the fiercest, and for us, it is a day of victories. They sent waves of their militias in batches around the old airport, air defense, the surroundings of Mount Al-Han, and towards Street 30. They tried with all their militias, but they also failed and were repelled." He indicated that there are more than 70 bodies that have been counted in the valleys and ravines, and heavy artillery and vehicles were destroyed, either by drones or aircraft.

He praised the role of aviation in supporting the ground forces, confirming that it played an effective role in the battle, destroying a number of supplies and targeting communications, the command and control center, and gathering places. He noted that the airstrikes were precise and focused, using smart and guided munitions, expressing his gratitude to the Coalition to Support Legitimacy led by Saudi Arabia, which provides support in various fields, especially the military field.

He added: "The Saudi support has not overlooked anything, including development. Perhaps the road that the Houthis detonated today, which is the vital and important Al-Abd road, was at the expense of Saudi Arabia." He explained that Saudi Arabia paved the way to bring life and the means of life to millions in the city of Taiz, while the Houthis brought Iranian mines to blow it up and exacerbate the humanitarian suffering.

He pointed out that the Houthis deprived the people of Taiz today of food, fuel, cooking gas, water, hospitals, and education, indicating that the Houthis are enemies of life.

On another note, the Houthi militia kidnapped dozens of civilians in the Quds area south of Taiz after setting fire to a vehicle belonging to a Houthi team that promotes sectarianism and spreads destructive ideas. The militia was in the Al-Makisha village in the Quds area of the Mawasit district in the countryside of Taiz, holding a sectarian lecture in the region's mosques and using Al-Fath School as its headquarters. Unknown individuals set fire to the vehicle belonging to the team, which led to heightened tensions, and the militia launched a campaign of arrests, deployed its armed men, and established checkpoints.
