عاد اسم الفنانة المصرية نجلاء فتحي إلى الواجهة بعد تداول أنباء عن اتخاذها قرارًا نهائيًا باعتزال الفن عقب وفاة ابنتها الوحيدة، ياسمين سيف أبو النجا، التي رحلت عن عالمنا نهاية أغسطس الماضي إثر أزمة قلبية مفاجئة.
اعتزال نجلاء فتحي ليس قرارًا جديدًا
وحسم الفنان والمهندس سيف أبو النجا، طليق نجلاء فتحي ووالد ابنتها الراحلة، حقيقة ارتباط اعتزالها بوفاة ياسمين، مؤكدًا أن ابتعادها عن التمثيل لم يكن قرارًا جديدًا، بل يعود إلى أكثر من 25 عامًا.
وأوضح سيف أبو النجا، في تصريحات تلفزيونية، أن نجلاء فتحي توقفت فعليًا عن العمل الفني منذ أكثر من 25 عامًا، لكنها لم تعلن اعتزالها رسميًا آنذاك، لافتًا إلى أن وفاة ابنتها لم تكن سبب ابتعادها عن الفن.
وفاة ابنتها تزيد عزلتها
وأشار سيف أبو النجا إلى أن الظروف الحالية مختلفة، موضحًا أن وفاة ياسمين كانت صدمة قاسية لنجلاء فتحي، وأنها ما زالت تعيش حالة شديدة من الحزن منذ رحيل ابنتها.
وأضاف أن الفنانة تعيش حاليًا بعيدًا عن الأضواء والمناسبات العامة، وتفضل العزلة خلال هذه الفترة، مؤكدًا أن فقدان ابنتها الوحيدة كان مؤلمًا لها ولجميع أفراد الأسرة.
أكثر من ربع قرن بعيدًا عن الفن
يعود آخر ظهور فني لنجلاء فتحي إلى سنوات بعيدة، إذ ابتعدت عن الساحة الفنية تدريجيًا قبل أكثر من ربع قرن، من دون إعلان رسمي عن اعتزالها، لتغيب بعدها عن الأعمال والأضواء.
آخر أعمالها
كان فيلم «بطل من الجنوب»، من إخراج محمد أبو سيف، آخر مشاركات نجلاء فتحي السينمائية، بالتزامن مع ظهور تلفزيوني في سهرة «اللحظات الأخيرة» من إخراج أحمد يحيى، قبل أن تتوقف عن تقديم أعمال جديدة وتبتعد عن الأضواء وحياة الوسط الفني.

The artist and engineer Saif Abu Al-Naja, Naglaa Fathy's ex-husband and the father of her late daughter, clarified the truth about the connection between her retirement and Yasmin's death, confirming that her withdrawal from acting was not a new decision but dates back more than 25 years.
Saif Abu Al-Naja explained in television statements that Naglaa Fathy has effectively stopped working in the artistic field for more than 25 years, but she did not officially announce her retirement at that time, noting that the death of her daughter was not the reason for her withdrawal from art.
Her daughter's death increases her isolation
Saif Abu Al-Naja pointed out that the current circumstances are different, explaining that Yasmin's death was a harsh shock for Naglaa Fathy, and she has been living in a state of deep sadness since her daughter's passing.
He added that the artist is currently living away from the spotlight and public events, preferring isolation during this period, emphasizing that the loss of her only daughter was painful for her and all family members.
More than a quarter-century away from art
Naglaa Fathy's last artistic appearance dates back many years, as she gradually distanced herself from the artistic scene more than a quarter-century ago, without an official announcement of her retirement, after which she disappeared from works and the spotlight.
Her last works
The film "A Hero from the South," directed by Mohamed Abu Seif, was Naglaa Fathy's last cinematic participation, coinciding with a television appearance in the special "The Last Moments," directed by Ahmed Yahya, before she stopped presenting new works and distanced herself from the spotlight and the artistic community.
