أعلن نادي مانشستر يونايتد، اليوم (الإثنين)، إقالة مدربه البرتغالي روبن أموريم من منصبه، بسبب تراجع نتائج الفريق في مسابقة الدوري الإنجليزي.

وقال النادي في بيان عبر موقعه الإلكتروني إن أموريم غادر منصبه كمدرب للفريق الأول.

وأضاف البيان: «مع احتلال مانشستر يونايتد المركز السادس في الدوري الإنجليزي حالياً، اتخذت إدارة النادي قراراً صعباً بأن الوقت قد حان لإجراء التغيير الذي من شأنه أن يمنح الفريق فرصة لتحقيق أفضل مركز ممكن في البريميرليغ».

رسالة شكر للمدرب البرتغالي

وتابع النادي في بيانه: «يتقدم مانشستر يونايتد بالشكر لروبن أموريم على ما قدمه خلال فترة عمله مع الفريق، متمنياً له التوفيق والنجاح في مسيرته التدريبية القادمة».

فليتشر يقود المهمة مؤقتاً

وأوضح البيان أن دارين فليتشر سيتولى قيادة الفريق بشكل مؤقت، على أن يقود مانشستر يونايتد في مواجهة بيرنلي، المقررة يوم الأربعاء القادم.

Manchester United announced today (Monday) the dismissal of their Portuguese coach Ruben Amorim from his position, due to the team's declining results in the English Premier League.

The club stated in a statement on its website that Amorim has left his position as head coach of the first team.

The statement added: "With Manchester United currently in sixth place in the Premier League, the club's management has made the difficult decision that it is time for a change that will give the team a chance to achieve the best possible position in the Premier League."

A message of thanks to the Portuguese coach

The club continued in its statement: "Manchester United thanks Ruben Amorim for his contributions during his time with the team, wishing him success and good fortune in his future coaching career."

Fletcher to lead the team temporarily

The statement clarified that Darren Fletcher will temporarily take charge of the team, and will lead Manchester United in their upcoming match against Burnley, scheduled for next Wednesday.
