بعث خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز رسالتين خطيتين إلى ملك مملكة البحرين حمد بن عيسى آل خليفة، وأمير دولة الكويت الشيخ مشعل الأحمد الجابر الصباح، تضمّنتَا دعوتهما للمشاركة في القمة الخليجية الأوروبية الثانية، التي تستضيفها المملكة خلال أكتوبر القادم.

وسلّم سفير خادم الحرمين الشريفين لدى مملكة البحرين نايف بندر السديري الرسالة إلى ملك البحرين، خلال استقباله له في قصر الصخير، فيما سلّم سفير خادم الحرمين الشريفين لدى دولة الكويت الأمير سلطان بن سعد بن خالد الرسالة إلى أمير دولة الكويت، خلال استقباله له في العاصمة الكويت.

وأعرب ملك البحرين عن شكره وتقديره لخادم الحرمين الشريفين على الدعوة، مشيدًا بالعلاقات الأخوية الراسخة بين المملكتين، والحرص المستمر على دعمها والارتقاء بها على مختلف المستويات، بما يخدم شعبيهما الشقيقين.

كما أعرب عن اعتزازه بالمساعي الخيّرة لخادم الحرمين الشريفين في توطيد العلاقات البحرينية السعودية، وبالدور الذي تضطلع به المملكة في تطوير منظومة العمل الخليجي المشترك، متمنيًا للقمة الخليجية الأوروبية التوفيق في تعزيز الشراكة والتعاون بين دول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية ودول الاتحاد الأوروبي، بما يحقق المصالح المشتركة.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, sent two written messages to the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the Emir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, inviting them to participate in the second Gulf-European summit, which will be hosted by the Kingdom in October.

The Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Nayef Bandar Al-Sudairi, delivered the message to the King of Bahrain during his reception at Al-Sakhir Palace, while the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the State of Kuwait, Prince Sultan bin Saad bin Khalid, delivered the message to the Emir of the State of Kuwait during his reception in the capital, Kuwait City.

The King of Bahrain expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the invitation, praising the strong fraternal relations between the two kingdoms and the continuous commitment to support and elevate them at various levels, to serve their two brotherly peoples.

He also expressed his pride in the good efforts of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in strengthening Bahraini-Saudi relations and in the role played by the Kingdom in developing the framework for joint Gulf cooperation, wishing success for the Gulf-European summit in enhancing partnership and cooperation between the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and the European Union countries, in a way that achieves common interests.
