Former Saudi national team star and Al-Ahli player Hossam Abu Dawood warned the Green players against underestimating the start of the match against the UAE, emphasizing that the final of the "Gulf 27" Championship will not be easy, given the strength of the opponent who will enter the match with full force, stressing the need to handle their momentum wisely and capitalize on it to score goals.

Abu Dawood said in a special interview with "Okaz": "Our team was outstanding in the group stage, as well as in the semifinals, and the coach's influence was clearly evident in the players' performance, who delivered the required technical level in every match."

Regarding the Green's chances of winning the title, Abu Dawood recalled his prediction made before the tournament started, saying: "I said before the tournament that our team would be the dark horse, and today we are in the final. The team has shown rare cohesion, and the defense, which has not been breached so far, is the foundation of everything."

Abu Dawood emphasized that the final match is different from the previous games, adding: "The match will be completely different, and the UAE team will start with all its strength, and we will need intelligence to absorb their momentum and take advantage of that by scoring goals."

Regarding his assessment of the levels of the Saudi national team's lines, Abu Dawood confirmed that all lines have performed remarkably, with a clear advantage for the defense and midfield, stating: "The lines are impressive, especially the defense and midfield, while the attack may be the least among them."

Abu Dawood sent a message to the Green fans in Jeddah, urging them to continue their attendance and support for the national team in the decisive match, saying: "The Jeddah crowd does not tire or grow weary, and your presence is the salt of the final."

Abu Dawood rejected the idea of dwelling on the results of previous encounters between the two teams, affirming that the final has its own calculations, saying: "The UAE is a tough opponent, and we do not look at the past or the records of encounters, but rather see it as a separate match lasting 90 minutes. Whoever has the bigger heart and longer focus will have the cup."

Abu Dawood concluded his remarks with a direct message to the Green players, saying: "You are in the spotlight... do not miss the opportunity... make it a night that the nation will never forget."
