استقبل رئيس مجلس الشورى الشيخ الدكتور عبدالله بن محمد بن إبراهيم آل الشيخ، عددًا من الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة بمناسبة اليوم الوطني السعودي، بحضور الرئيس التنفيذي لهيئة رعاية الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة الدكتور هشام بن محمد الحيدري، ونائب الرئيس للتواصل والتمكين بالهيئة المهندس فراس بن خالد الذكير.
تعزيز المشاركة بسوق العمل
واستمع آل الشيخ إلى تجارب الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة في مجالات التعليم والتأهيل والعمل، وما يمتلكونه من مهارات وتخصصات، والفرص التي أسهمت في تطوير مساراتهم المهنية وتعزيز مشاركتهم في سوق العمل، كما اطلع على ما شهدته هذه المجالات من تطور والجهود التي تقدمها المملكة في رعايتهم وتمكينهم.
الارتقاء بجودة الحياة
واستعرض دور مجلس الشورى في مناقشة القضايا المتعلقة بالأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة، وما يصدر عنه من قرارات تسهم في تطوير الأنظمة والتشريعات والارتقاء بجودة الحياة.
وتأتي الزيارة تأكيدًا على اهتمام المملكة بالأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة، وحرصها على تعزيز حقوقهم وتمكينهم ورفع مستوى مشاركتهم في مختلف المجالات، منذ عهد الملك عبدالعزيز بن عبدالرحمن، وحتى عهد خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، وولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان.
The Chairman of the Shura Council, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Sheikh, received a number of persons with disabilities on the occasion of Saudi National Day, in the presence of the CEO of the Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities, Dr. Hisham bin Mohammed Al-Haidari, and the Vice President for Communication and Empowerment at the Authority, Engineer Firas bin Khalid Al-Dhakeer.
Enhancing Participation in the Labor Market
Al Sheikh listened to the experiences of persons with disabilities in the fields of education, rehabilitation, and work, as well as their skills and specialties, and the opportunities that contributed to the development of their career paths and enhanced their participation in the labor market. He also reviewed the developments in these fields and the efforts made by the Kingdom in their care and empowerment.
Improving Quality of Life
He reviewed the role of the Shura Council in discussing issues related to persons with disabilities and the decisions it issues that contribute to the development of systems and legislation and the improvement of quality of life.
This visit reaffirms the Kingdom's interest in persons with disabilities and its commitment to enhancing their rights, empowering them, and raising their level of participation in various fields, from the era of King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman to the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and the Crown Prince, Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.
