أعلنت القوات المسلحة اليمنية إحباط هجمات نفذتها عناصر جماعة الحوثي في عدد من المواقع بجبهتي حيفان والأحكوم، مؤكدةً تكبيد المهاجمين خسائر بشرية ومادية وإجبارهم على الانسحاب ومنعهم من تحقيق أي تقدم ميداني.
وقال متحدث القوات المسلحة اليمنية، العقيد الركن ماجد عبدالله النزيلي، إن القوات تمكنت من دحر جيوب من عناصر الحوثي تسللت باتجاه طريق هيجة العبد، بعد مواجهات أسفرت، وفق إفادته، عن خسائر في صفوف العناصر المهاجمة، ما دفعها إلى الانسحاب.
وأضاف النزيلي أن القوات المسلحة، مسنودةً بالمقاومة الشعبية، عززت انتشارها في مختلف مواقع جبهة حيفان، بالتزامن مع التصدي لمحاولات الحوثيين التقدم في المنطقة.
وأشار المتحدث إلى أن القوات تمكنت كذلك من كسر هجمات حوثية على مواقع في الأحكوم، مؤكداً وقوع خسائر بشرية في صفوف المهاجمين وتدمير عدد من أسلحتهم، دون أن تتمكن تلك العناصر من تحقيق تقدم ميداني.
وتأتي هذه التطورات في ظل استمرار المواجهات في عدد من جبهات محافظة تعز، وسط تعزيز القوات الحكومية انتشارها في المواقع التي تشهد تحركات عسكرية.
The Yemeni Armed Forces announced the thwarting of attacks carried out by elements of the Houthi group in several locations on the fronts of Haifan and Al-Ahkum, confirming that they inflicted human and material losses on the attackers, forcing them to withdraw and preventing them from making any field progress.
The spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Colonel Majid Abdullah Al-Nazili, stated that the forces were able to repel pockets of Houthi elements that had infiltrated towards the Heijah Al-Abd road, after confrontations that resulted, according to his report, in losses among the attacking elements, which prompted their withdrawal.
Al-Nazili added that the armed forces, supported by popular resistance, reinforced their presence in various locations on the Haifan front, coinciding with efforts to counter the Houthis' attempts to advance in the area.
The spokesperson indicated that the forces also managed to break Houthi attacks on positions in Al-Ahkum, confirming the occurrence of human losses among the attackers and the destruction of several of their weapons, without those elements being able to achieve any field progress.
These developments come amid ongoing confrontations on several fronts in Taiz Governorate, as government forces continue to bolster their presence in areas witnessing military movements.
