أعلن وزير الخارجية الإيراني عباس عراقجي اليوم (الجمعة)، عن تقديم بلاده مقترحاً إلى واشنطن عبر وسطاء، يتضمن استيفاء شروط محددة خلال سبعة أيام لاستئناف المحادثات.

وقال عراقجي في تصريحات للصحافيين على هامش اجتماعات الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة في نيويورك، إن فترة الأيام السبعة الممنوحة للولايات المتحدة لاستيفاء الشروط ستبدأ في اليوم التالي لموافقتها على المقترح، مضيفاً أن طهران تفضل استئناف المحادثات قبل انتخابات التجديد النصفي، لكنها ليست مستعجلة للتوصل إلى اتفاق يستند إلى مقترحها الجديد.

ولفت إلى أن التوصل إلى اتفاق سيكون أفضل بكثير إذا جرى قبل انتخابات التجديد النصفي، لكن الأمر يعتمد على الإدارة الأمريكية، موضحاً أن طهران لا تهتم بالتوقيت. ورفض الخوض في تفاصيل الشروط، غير أنه قال إنها «لا تتجاوز» ما تضمنته مذكرة التفاهم الموقعة في إسلام آباد في يونيو الماضي.

وشدد عراقجي على أن فترة الأيام السبعة الممنوحة للولايات المتحدة لتلبية الشروط ستبدأ في اليوم التالي لموافقتها على المقترح، مبيناً أن إيران تنتظر رداً من أمريكا.

وقال: «الخطة واضحة جداً، في اللحظة التي يقبلون فيها هذه الخطة، يمكن أن يبدأ الجدول الزمني اعتباراً من اليوم التالي، وبعد سبعة أيام سيكون المضيق مفتوحاً».

ورفض مسؤول في البيت الأبيض التعليق على المقترح الإيراني، لكنه قال إن الولايات المتحدة وإيران تجريان محادثات إيجابية وبناءة عبر وسطاء.

ونقلت صحيفة «فاينانشيال تايمز» عن مسؤول أمريكي قوله إن «الولايات المتحدة في وضع قوي جداً، مع سيطرتها على مضيق هرمز، ولذلك لسنا مستعجلين»، مضيفاً أن نحو 22 مليون برميل من النفط غادرت المضيق الليلة الماضية.

واستبعد عدد من الأشخاص المطلعين، في حديثهم للصحيفة، أن تعود إدارة الرئيس ترمب إلى مذكرة التفاهم، التي أدانها الجمهوريون والديمقراطيون على حد سواء، موضحين أنها تدفع بدلاً من ذلك نحو اتفاق أكثر شمولاً يغطي ليس فقط المضيق، بل أيضاً البرنامج النووي الإيراني.

في غضون ذلك، نقلت صحيفة «وول ستريت جورنال» عن مصادر قولها إن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب لا ينوي رفع الحصار البحري المفروض على إيران، موضحة أن الحرس الثوري يرفض صيغ اتفاق جديدة ويستعد لحرب طويلة.

وأشارت إلى أن وسطاء عرب يتلقون رسائل متباينة من الدبلوماسيين الإيرانيين والحرس الثوري بشأن إنهاء الحرب.

في المقابل، أقر الرئيس الإيراني مسعود بزشكيان، في حديثه للصحافيين، بوجود حالة كبيرة من انعدام الثقة بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران، معرباً عن استعداده لبناء علاقة قائمة على الثقة.

وكان بزشكيان التقى رئيس الوزراء الباكستاني شهباز شريف، وأكد أهمية استمرار المبادرات الدبلوماسية لخفض التوترات. وبحسب وسائل إعلام إيرانية، ناقش بزشكيان ورئيس الوزراء الباكستاني مسار المحادثات الإقليمية وجهود الوساطة الرامية إلى تسوية الخلافات سلمياً، كما بحثا الوضع في مضيق هرمز وتطورات شبه الجزيرة العربية.

The Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced today (Friday) that his country has submitted a proposal to Washington through intermediaries, which includes meeting specific conditions within seven days to resume talks.

Araghchi stated in remarks to reporters on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meetings in New York that the seven-day period granted to the United States to meet the conditions will begin the day after its acceptance of the proposal, adding that Tehran prefers to resume talks before the midterm elections, but is not in a hurry to reach an agreement based on its new proposal.

He pointed out that reaching an agreement would be much better if it happens before the midterm elections, but it depends on the U.S. administration, clarifying that Tehran does not care about the timing. He refused to delve into the details of the conditions, but said they "do not exceed" what was included in the memorandum of understanding signed in Islamabad last June.

Araghchi emphasized that the seven-day period granted to the United States to meet the conditions will begin the day after its acceptance of the proposal, indicating that Iran is awaiting a response from America.

He said, "The plan is very clear; the moment they accept this plan, the timeline can start from the next day, and after seven days, the strait will be open."

A White House official declined to comment on the Iranian proposal but stated that the United States and Iran are having positive and constructive talks through intermediaries.

The "Financial Times" reported an American official saying that "the United States is in a very strong position, with its control over the Strait of Hormuz, so we are not in a hurry," adding that about 22 million barrels of oil left the strait last night.

Several informed individuals, speaking to the newspaper, ruled out that President Trump's administration would return to the memorandum of understanding, which was condemned by both Republicans and Democrats, explaining that it is instead pushing for a more comprehensive agreement that covers not only the strait but also the Iranian nuclear program.

Meanwhile, the "Wall Street Journal" reported sources saying that U.S. President Donald Trump does not intend to lift the maritime blockade imposed on Iran, clarifying that the Revolutionary Guard is rejecting new agreement formulas and is preparing for a long war.

It was noted that Arab intermediaries are receiving mixed messages from Iranian diplomats and the Revolutionary Guard regarding ending the war.

In contrast, Iranian President Masoud Bezhakian, speaking to reporters, acknowledged a significant level of mistrust between the United States and Iran, expressing his readiness to build a trust-based relationship.

Bezhakian met with Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and emphasized the importance of continuing diplomatic initiatives to reduce tensions. According to Iranian media, Bezhakian and the Pakistani Prime Minister discussed the course of regional talks and mediation efforts aimed at peacefully resolving disputes, as well as the situation in the Strait of Hormuz and developments in the Arabian Peninsula.
