تخيل أن الجهاز الأمني الأهم في الولايات المتحدة يشتري أدواته الجنائية لتعقب المجرمين.. ليكتشف لاحقاً أن من صنع هذه الأدوات ويتحكم بها هم الروس!

هذا الكابوس الأمني أصبح حقيقة هذا الأسبوع، بعد أن كشفت السلطات الأمريكية عن فضيحة احتيال إلكتروني كبرى بطلها «لي ريبر» الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة التقنية «Oxygen Forensics»، وشريكه المواطن الروسي «أوليغ دافيدوف» الذي اعتُقل في مطار هيثرو اللندني.

لسنوات، سوقت الشركة نفسها للجهات الحكومية الأمريكية على أنها كيان أمريكي مستقل، لكن التحقيقات كشفت عن هيكل عنكبوتي معقد:

التحكم الخفي: الشركة مملوكة بالكامل لخمسة مواطنين روس يديرونها من الخلف عبر «شركة قابضة» مسجلة في قبرص. المفارقة الكبرى: بينما كانت الشركة تبيع أدواتها الرقمية الحساسة لواشنطن، كانت تدير فريق تطوير كامل في موسكو تحت إشراف «دافيدوف»، بل وتبيع نسخاً من البرمجيات ذاتها لجهاز الأمن الفيدرالي الروسي (FSB) ووزارة الداخلية الروسية!

وبعد الغزو الروسي لأوكرانيا في 2022 وتشديد العقوبات، بدأ المتهمان في طمس أي أثر روسي في السجلات الرسمية. بل إن «ريبر» وقف أمام مسؤولي وزارة الأمن الداخلي الأمريكية عام 2026 ليؤكد بثقة تامة: «لا يوجد مطورون روس، ولا أحد في روسيا يمتلك حق الوصول لبرمجياتنا».

بناءً على هذه الكذبة، ابتلع «المعهد الوطني للأدلة الحاسوبية» التابع للخدمة السرية الطُعم، ووقّع معهم عقداً ضخماً يمتد لخمس سنوات بقيمة 12 مليون دولار لاستخراج وتحليل بيانات الهواتف والأجهزة الرقمية.

وحتى اللحظة، تقف السلطات الأمريكية عند حدود تهم «الاحتيال المالي وإخفاء الملكية»، مؤكدة أنه لم يُعثر بعد على «شيفرات خبيثة» داخل البرمجيات لسرقة البيانات. لكن مجرد نجاح شركة تخضع لسيطرة روسية تامة في تمرير تكنولوجيا جنائية حساسة إلى قلب أجهزة الأمن الأمريكية، يضع واشنطن أمام سؤال مرعب: كم عدد الشركات «الأمريكية» الأخرى التي تدار سراً من موسكو؟

Imagine that the most important security agency in the United States is purchasing its forensic tools to track down criminals... only to later discover that those who manufactured and control these tools are the Russians!

This security nightmare became a reality this week, after U.S. authorities revealed a major electronic fraud scandal involving "Lee Reber," the CEO of the tech company "Oxygen Forensics," and his Russian partner "Oleg Davidov," who was arrested at London’s Heathrow Airport.

For years, the company marketed itself to U.S. government entities as an independent American entity, but investigations revealed a complex spiderweb structure:

Hidden control: The company is fully owned by five Russian citizens who manage it from behind the scenes through a "holding company" registered in Cyprus. The great irony: While the company was selling its sensitive digital tools to Washington, it was managing a full development team in Moscow under the supervision of "Davidov," and even selling copies of the same software to the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) and the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs!

After the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022 and the tightening of sanctions, the accused began to erase any Russian traces from official records. In fact, "Reber" stood before officials from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in 2026 to confidently assert: "There are no Russian developers, and no one in Russia has access to our software."

Based on this lie, the "National Institute of Computer Evidence" affiliated with the Secret Service swallowed the bait and signed a massive five-year contract worth $12 million for extracting and analyzing data from phones and digital devices.

As of now, U.S. authorities are limited to charges of "financial fraud and concealment of ownership," asserting that no "malicious code" has yet been found within the software to steal data. However, the mere success of a company under complete Russian control in passing sensitive forensic technology into the heart of U.S. security agencies poses a terrifying question for Washington: How many other "American" companies are secretly managed from Moscow?
