فيما تبادل يمنيون التهاني بمقتله، أكدت مصادر في محافظة إب اليوم (الأحد) مقتل القيادي الحوثي المنتحل رتبة عقيد صدام مطهر غلاب (أبو عطان) في المعارك الدائرة بمنطقة الوازعية غربي تعز.

وأوضح ناشطون يمنيون في محافظة إب أن أبو عطان من القيادات الحوثية البارزة التي تنقلت في عدد من المناصب مع المليشيا الحوثية، من بينها قائداً لقوات الأمن المركزي الحوثي بمحافظة إب، ومديراً لعدة مديريات بالمحافظة، وأخيراً مديراً لأمن منطقة بني صريم في محافظة عمران.

وقالت المصادر إن أبو عطان الذي تدرب على يد خبراء من الحرس الثوري وحزب الله، كان يقود عصابات الحوثيين في تصفية المناوئين للمليشيا في محافظة إب طوال السنوات الماضية، كما أنه متورط في اختطاف وتصفية عدد من المدنيين ونهب ممتلكاتهم في المحافظة إبان توليه عدداً من المناصب.

وقالت المصادر، أثناء توليه قيادة قوات الأمن الحوثية في إب، شهدت المحافظة جرائم اغتيالات لا حصر لها ولا تزال آثارها حتى اليوم، كما عمل لصالح قيادات حوثية في السطو على الأراضي الزراعية في محافظة توصف بأنها سلة اليمن.

وأفادت المصادر أن القتيل عقب تعيينه في مديرية بني صريم بمحافظة عمران، نفذ جرائم اختطافات واسعة، وبحسب أحد السكان فإنه وراء اختطاف وتصفية شقيقه الذي ينتمي إلى محافظة المحويت والذي نقله إلى جهة مجهولة من أمام محله التجاري وأخفاه تماماً حتى اليوم.

في غضون ذلك، أعلن الجيش اليمني اليوم قيام القوات الجوية باستهداف عناصر مليشيا الحوثي الإرهابية وعتادها في محافظة البيضاء، مستعرضاً بالفيديو العملية العسكرية.

While Yemenis exchanged congratulations on his death, sources in Ibb Governorate confirmed today (Sunday) the killing of the Houthi leader impersonating the rank of Colonel, Saddam Mutaher Ghalab (Abu Atan), in the ongoing battles in the Al-Waziyah area west of Taiz.

Yemeni activists in Ibb Governorate clarified that Abu Atan was one of the prominent Houthi leaders who held several positions within the Houthi militia, including being the commander of the Houthi Central Security Forces in Ibb Governorate, and director of several districts in the governorate, and finally, the director of security for the Bani Sarim area in Amran Governorate.

The sources stated that Abu Atan, who was trained by experts from the Revolutionary Guard and Hezbollah, led Houthi gangs in eliminating opponents of the militia in Ibb Governorate over the past years. He was also involved in the kidnapping and liquidation of several civilians and the looting of their properties in the governorate during his tenure in various positions.

The sources noted that during his leadership of the Houthi security forces in Ibb, the governorate witnessed countless assassination crimes, the effects of which are still felt today. He also worked for Houthi leaders in seizing agricultural lands in a governorate described as the breadbasket of Yemen.

The sources reported that after his appointment in the Bani Sarim district of Amran Governorate, the deceased carried out widespread kidnapping crimes. According to one resident, he was behind the kidnapping and liquidation of his brother, who belonged to Al-Mahwit Governorate, whom he took to an unknown location from in front of his commercial store and has completely hidden him to this day.

Meanwhile, the Yemeni army announced today that the air forces targeted elements of the Houthi terrorist militia and their equipment in Al-Bayda Governorate, showcasing the military operation in a video.
