رأس أمير منطقة نجران رئيس مجلس المنطقة الأمير جلوي بن عبدالعزيز بن مساعد اليوم، الجلسة الأولى من الدورة الأولى لمجلس المنطقة للعام المالي 1447 / 1448هـ الموافق 2026م، بحضور وكيل الإمارة للشؤون الأمنية فهد بن سعد الشريان، وأمين عام مجلس المنطقة صالح بن محمد آل مريح، ومسؤولي القطاعات ذات العلاقة، وأعضاء المجلس المعينين من الأهالي.

وبدأ المجلس أعماله بكلمة افتتاحية لأمير المنطقة رئيس المجلس، استهلها بالحمد والثناء على الله سبحانه وتعالى، بما أنعم به على هذه البلاد، في ظل ما توليه القيادة الرشيدة، من عناية واهتمام بمسيرة التنمية في شتى المجالات، بما يعود نفعه على الوطن والمواطن والمنشآت العامة والخاصة.

ورفع باسم أعضاء مجلس المنطقة وأهاليها وباسمه، الشكر والتقدير لخادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، وولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان، ولوزير الداخلية، بمناسبة إعادة تشكيل مجالس المناطق في دورتها الثامنة.

ورحّب الأمير جلوي بن عبدالعزيز بأعضاء مجلس المنطقة في انطلاقة دورته الثامنة، موضحًا أن الجلسة تتناول تشكيل اللجان المنبثقة من المجلس، واستعراض مهام كل لجنة، بما يعزز دور المجلس في متابعة مسيرة التنمية وخدمة المنطقة وأهاليها.

وأكد أهمية دور مجلس المنطقة ولجانه في متابعة مسيرة التنمية، والعمل بروح الفريق الواحد، وتعزيز التكامل والتنسيق بين ممثلي الجهات الحكومية والأهالي، ودراسة حاجات المنطقة وتحديد أولوياتها التنموية، ومتابعة المشاريع ومستوى الخدمات، ورفع التوصيات التي تسهم في تطويرها وتحقيق تطلعات المواطنين.

واختتم كلمته بالدعاء للقيادة الرشيدة بالعون والتوفيق، وأن يديم على الوطن والمواطنين نعمة الأمن والأمان، موجهًا شكره وتقديره لرجال الأمن في جميع القطاعات، على ما يبذلونه من جهود في حماية الوطن والمحافظة على أمنه واستقراره ومكتسباته.

بعد ذلك، استعرض المجلس تشكيل لجانه واختصاصاتها ومهامها خلال الدورة الثامنة، وبحث عددًا من الموضوعات المدرجة على جدول أعماله.

The Emir of Najran Region, Chairman of the Regional Council, Prince Jalwa bin Abdulaziz bin Musaid, today chaired the first session of the first term of the Regional Council for the fiscal year 1447/1448 AH, corresponding to 2026 AD, with the presence of the Deputy Emir for Security Affairs, Fahd bin Saad Al-Sharyan, the Secretary-General of the Regional Council, Saleh bin Mohammed Al-Muraih, officials from relevant sectors, and council members appointed from the local community.

The council began its proceedings with an opening speech by the Emir of the region, the council's chairman, who started by praising and thanking Allah Almighty for the blessings bestowed upon this country, in light of the care and attention given by the wise leadership to the development journey in various fields, which benefits the nation, citizens, and public and private institutions.

On behalf of the members of the Regional Council and its residents, as well as in his own name, he expressed gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and to the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and to the Minister of Interior, on the occasion of the reformation of the regional councils in their eighth term.

Prince Jalwa bin Abdulaziz welcomed the members of the Regional Council at the start of its eighth term, clarifying that the session would discuss the formation of committees emanating from the council and review the tasks of each committee, which enhances the council's role in following up on the development journey and serving the region and its residents.

He emphasized the importance of the role of the Regional Council and its committees in monitoring the development process, working in a spirit of teamwork, enhancing integration and coordination between representatives of government agencies and the local community, studying the needs of the region, determining its developmental priorities, monitoring projects and service levels, and raising recommendations that contribute to its development and meet citizens' aspirations.

He concluded his speech by praying for the wise leadership for assistance and success, and that Allah continues to bestow security and safety upon the nation and its citizens, directing his thanks and appreciation to the security personnel in all sectors for their efforts in protecting the homeland and maintaining its security, stability, and achievements.

After that, the council reviewed the formation of its committees, their jurisdictions, and tasks during the eighth term, and discussed several topics listed on its agenda.
