بينما منح أتلتيكو مدريد نفسه أفضلية عددية استثمرها في تسجيل هدفين، بقيت صور تدخّلين في الشوط الأول حاضرةً بقوة في حديث ريال مدريد ومدربه جوزيه مورينيو؛ تدخل كريستيان (كوتي) روميرو على جود بيلينغهام، ثم دوس كانغ-إن لي على كاحل فيديريكو فالفيردي.

في ملعب متروبوليتانو، لم يكن (ديربي مدريد) مجرد مباراة انتهت بفوز أتلتيكو 2-1؛ دقائقه الأولى تحولت إلى امتحان مبكّر للحكم ميغيل أنخيل أورتيز أرياس، قبل أن تتحول المباراة في الشوط الثاني إلى صراع مختلف تمامًا بعد طرد دين هوييسن.

الشوط الأول.. حيث كان يمكن أن يتغير كل شيء

حتى الدقيقة الـ30، لم يقدم (الديربي) الكثير على مستوى الفرص، لكن التوتر والاحتكاكات كانا حاضرين منذ البداية، ثم جاءت اللحظة الأولى التي أشعلت الجدل؛ في الدقيقة 35، وصل بيلينغهام إلى الكرة قبل روميرو، لكن مدافع أتلتيكو وضع مساميره على ركبة لاعب ريال مدريد. الحكم أشهر البطاقة الصفراء لبيلينغهام أولًا، قبل أن يستدعيه حكم الفيديو لمراجعة اللقطة. عاد أورتيز أرياس إلى الشاشة، ألغى بطاقة بيلينغهام ووجّه الإنذار إلى روميرو، لكنه لم يرفع البطاقة الحمراء.. وهنا بدأ أول فصول الجدل؛ فقد اعتبر المحلل التحكيمي إيتورالدي غونزاليس التدخل من الحالات التي تتضمن قوة مفرطة وتستوجب الطرد.

اللقطة الثانية كانت أكثر إثارةً للجدل؛ في نهاية الشوط الأول، تعرَّض فالفيردي لدوس على الكاحل من كانغ-إن لي، مع وجود التواء في القدم. الحكم احتسب المخالفة، لكنه لم يُشهر حتى البطاقة الصفراء، كما أن حكم الفيديو لم يتدخل.

ووصف إيتورالدي اللقطة في تحليل إذاعة (كادينا سير) بأنها «أشد وأكثر إيذاءً من لقطة روميرو». واللافت أن تقريرًا لاحقًا نقل عن لجنة الحكام نفسها أن كانغ-إن لي كان يستحق الطرد في تلك اللقطة، في حين رأت اللجنة أن واقعة روميرو كانت أكثر تعقيدًا من ناحية تقدير القرار.

وهكذا انتهى الشوط الأول والنتيجة لا تزال صفرًا، لكن الصورة الافتراضية للمباراة كانت مختلفة تمامًا: ريال مدريد يرى أنه كان يمكن أن يدخل الشوط الثاني أمام تسعة لاعبين من أتلتيكو بدلًا من 11.

الدقيقة التي انقلب فيها «الديربي»

بعد خمس دقائق فقط من بداية الشوط الثاني، انطلق جوليانو سيميوني خلف دفاع ريال مدريد، واحتك به هوييسن داخل منطقة الجزاء. سارع الحكم أورتيز أرياس باحتساب ركلة جزاء وإشهار البطاقة الصفراء، قبل أن يستدعيه الـVAR للمراجعة. وبعد العودة إلى الشاشة، تغيّر القرار إلى بطاقة حمراء لهوييسن.

ومن ركلة الجزاء سجل أليخاندرو غريمالدو، وأصبح أتلتيكو متقدمًا 1-0 ولاعبًا زائدًا.

بعد تسع دقائق فقط، استثمر أتلتيكو التفوق العددي مرة أخرى؛ جوليانو سيميوني صنع الهدف، وجوناثان ديفيد وضع الكرة في الشباك معلنًا 2-0.

وهنا ظهر الفارق بين مرحلتي المباراة: ريال مدريد كان ينافس كامل العدد، ثم وجد نفسه يلعب بعشرة لاعبين أمام فريق يُجيد استغلال المساحات والتحولات.

أتلتيكو.. كيف يجعل المباراة معركة

أسلوب أتلتيكو في هذه المباراة لم يكن قائمًا على الاستحواذ لمجرد الاستحواذ. الفكرة كانت أكثر مباشرة: ضغط، صراعات بدنية، إغلاق للممرات، ثم التحول السريع عندما تظهر المساحة. وبعد دخول كوكّي، حصل أتلتيكو أيضًا على عنصر مختلف: الهدوء بالكرة. سيموني نفسه أكد بعد المباراة أن كوكّي منح الفريق القدرة على التحكم في الإيقاع، بينما أدى ارتفاع الضغط وتحسّن التحولات إلى تغيير شكل الفريق بعد الاستراحة؛ فالفريق لعب بكثافة بدنية واحتكاك مرتفع، لكن بعض تدخلاته تجاوزت الحدود التي تسمح بها قوانين اللعبة وفق تقييمات تحكيمية لاحقة، وأبرزها تدخل كانغ-إن لي.

حكم دخل التاريخ قبل أن تبدأ المباراة

كان تعيين أورتيز أرياس بحد ذاته موضع اهتمام قبل الديربي. حكم يبلغ 41 عامًا ومولود في مدريد، وكان هذا أول (ديربي مدريد) في التاريخ يقوده حكم من مدينة مدريد بعد إلغاء قاعدة كانت تمنع حكام المنطقة من إدارة مباريات فرق منطقتهم، كما أن سجله يتضمّن 98 مباراة في الدرجة الأولى حتى نهاية الموسم السابق؛ وفق قواعد بيانات إحصائية للحكام، ولم يكن حكمًا دوليًا وقت (الديربي).

هنا جاء انتقاد مورينيو، الذي رأى أن مباراة بهذا الحجم وضغطها كانت تحتاج إلى خبرة مختلفة، بينما رأى محللون آخرون أن المشكلة لم تكن في هوية الحكم بقدر ما كانت في كيفية إدارته للحظات الحاسمة.

وفي تقييم تحكيمي نشره (موندو ديبورتيفو)، وُصفت إدارته بأنها متواضعة في مباراة شديدة الصعوبة، مع الإشارة إلى أخطاء في البطاقات، خصوصًا عدم إنذار كانغ-إن لي وباينا في بعض المخالفات.

مورينيو يدخل المؤتمر حاملاً «ملف القضية»

لم يدخل مورينيو المؤتمر الصحفي بحثًا عن الأعذار التقليدية، دخل وفي يده ورقة تحمل صور التدخُّلين محلَّي الجدل، وقال -بحسب الموقع الرسمي لريال مدريد: «يمكننا أن نختصر المؤتمر الصحفي، لأن قصة المباراة موجودة هنا. هاتان بطاقتان حمراوان واضحتان». ثم بنى مدرب ريال مدريد حجته على فارق العدد: «الصعوبات التي واجهناها بعد اللعب 11 ضد 10 يمكننا أن نتخيّل ماذا كانت ستكون عليه المباراة لو لعبنا 50 دقيقة 11 ضد 9».

ولم يتوقف مورينيو عند الحكم، بل انتقد أيضًا قرار تعيينه، وتحدث عن حكم الـVAR دانييل خيسوس تروخيو، معتبرًا أن تدخله في لقطة روميرو كان مختلفًا عن تعامله مع لقطة كانغ-إن لي. وختم حديثه بسخرية واضحة من لجنة تعيين الحكام، قائلًا: «تهانينا للجنة تعيين الحكام».

سيميوني يرد: الاحترام فوق الجميع

لم يترك دييغو سيميوني الانتقادات تمرُّ من دون رد، فالمدرب الأرجنتيني رفض الدخول في تفصيل اللقطتين، وقال: إن بعض القرارات قد تخدم فريقًا في مباراة وتضر به في أخرى. قبل أن يوجه رسالة مباشرة إلى مورينيو حول ضرورة احترام الحكام، وقال إن تجاوز حدود الاحترام «خطير»، مضيفًا أن الأمر لا يتعلق باسم المدرب، سواء أكان مورينيو أم غيره.

While Atlético Madrid took advantage of their numerical superiority to score two goals, the images of controversial interventions in the first half remained strongly present in the discussions of Real Madrid and their coach José Mourinho; the intervention of Cristian (Cuti) Romero on Jude Bellingham, and then Doo Kang-In's tackle on Federico Valverde's ankle.

At the Metropolitano Stadium, the (Madrid Derby) was not just a match that ended with Atlético winning 2-1; its early minutes turned into an early test for referee Miguel Ángel Ortiz Arias, before the match transformed in the second half into a completely different struggle after the expulsion of Dean Huysen.

The First Half.. Where Everything Could Have Changed

Until the 30th minute, the (derby) did not offer much in terms of chances, but tension and physical confrontations were present from the start, then came the first moment that ignited controversy; in the 35th minute, Bellingham reached the ball before Romero, but the Atlético defender planted his studs on the knee of the Real Madrid player. The referee showed a yellow card to Bellingham first, before being called by VAR to review the incident. Ortiz Arias returned to the screen, canceled Bellingham's card, and issued a warning to Romero, but he did not raise the red card.. and here began the first chapters of the controversy; the referee analyst Iturralde González considered the intervention to be one that involved excessive force and warranted expulsion.

The second incident was even more controversial; at the end of the first half, Valverde was tackled on the ankle by Kang-In Lee, resulting in a foot twist. The referee awarded the foul, but did not even show a yellow card, and VAR did not intervene.

Iturralde described the incident in an analysis on Cadena SER as "more severe and harmful than the Romero incident." Notably, a later report from the referees' committee itself stated that Kang-In Lee deserved a red card for that incident, while the committee viewed the Romero incident as more complex in terms of decision-making.

Thus, the first half ended with the score still at zero, but the virtual image of the match was completely different: Real Madrid believed they could have entered the second half facing nine Atlético players instead of 11.

The Minute That Turned the "Derby"

Just five minutes into the second half, Giuliano Simeone broke through the Real Madrid defense, and collided with Huysen inside the penalty area. Referee Ortiz Arias quickly awarded a penalty and showed a yellow card, before being called by VAR for review. After returning to the screen, the decision changed to a red card for Huysen.

From the penalty, Alejandro Grimaldo scored, putting Atlético ahead 1-0 with an extra player.

Just nine minutes later, Atlético capitalized on their numerical advantage again; Giuliano Simeone created the goal, and Jonathan David put the ball in the net, announcing 2-0.

Here, the difference between the two phases of the match became clear: Real Madrid was competing at full strength, then found themselves playing with ten players against a team that excels at exploiting spaces and transitions.

Atlético.. How to Make the Match a Battle

Atlético's style in this match was not based on possession for the sake of possession. The idea was more straightforward: pressing, physical confrontations, closing lanes, and then quick transitions when space appeared. After Koke's entry, Atlético also gained a different element: calmness on the ball. Simeone himself confirmed after the match that Koke gave the team the ability to control the tempo, while increased pressure and improved transitions changed the team's shape after the break; the team played with physical intensity and high contact, but some of their interventions exceeded the limits allowed by the laws of the game according to later refereeing evaluations, most notably Kang-In Lee's intervention.

A Referee Who Made History Before the Match Started

The appointment of Ortiz Arias was itself a point of interest before the derby. A 41-year-old referee born in Madrid, this was the first (Madrid Derby) in history led by a referee from the city of Madrid after the abolition of a rule that prevented referees from the area from officiating matches involving teams from their region, and his record includes 98 matches in the top division until the end of the previous season; according to statistical databases for referees, he was not an international referee at the time of the (derby).

This led to criticism from Mourinho, who believed that a match of this magnitude and pressure required different experience, while other analysts felt that the problem was not in the identity of the referee as much as it was in how he managed critical moments.

In a refereeing evaluation published by Mundo Deportivo, his management was described as modest in a very difficult match, noting errors in card decisions, especially the failure to caution Kang-In Lee and Payna for some fouls.

Mourinho Enters the Conference Holding "The Case File"

Mourinho did not enter the press conference seeking traditional excuses; he entered with a paper bearing images of the controversial interventions, stating - according to Real Madrid's official website: "We can summarize the press conference because the story of the match is here. These are two clear red cards." He then built his argument on the numerical difference: "The difficulties we faced after playing 11 against 10, we can imagine what the match would have been like if we had played 50 minutes 11 against 9."

Mourinho did not stop at the referee but also criticized the decision to appoint him, and spoke about VAR referee Daniel Jesús Trujillo, considering that his intervention in the Romero incident was different from his handling of the Kang-In Lee incident. He concluded his remarks with clear sarcasm towards the referees' appointment committee, saying: "Congratulations to the referees' appointment committee."

Simeone Responds: Respect Above All

Diego Simeone did not let the criticisms pass without a response; the Argentine coach refused to delve into the details of the two incidents, stating that some decisions might benefit a team in one match and harm it in another. He then directed a direct message to Mourinho about the necessity of respecting referees, stating that crossing the boundaries of respect is "dangerous," adding that it does not matter who the coach is, whether it is Mourinho or someone else.
