تتجه الأنظار، غداً الأربعاء، إلى ملعب مدينة الملك عبدالله الرياضية بجدة، حيث يلتقي المنتخبان السعودي والكويتي في مواجهة افتتاح كأس الخليج العربي (خليجي 27)، في لقاء ينتظر أن يحمل الكثير من الإثارة والندية، في ظل القيمة التاريخية لمواجهات «الأخضر» و«الأزرق» في البطولات الخليجية.

وأكد لاعب المنتخب الكويتي السابق المدير التنفيذي لنادي الفيحاء السعودي فهد الأنصاري لـ«عكاظ» أن المواجهات من هذا النوع تحمل قيمة فنية ومعنوية مختلفة للاعبين، مشددًا على أهمية تجاوز المنتخب الكويتي المباراة الافتتاحية قبل التفكير في المراحل التالية من البطولة.

وقال الأنصاري: «أتمنى التوفيق لجميع المنتخبات، والفريق الأفضل هو من سيستحق تحقيق البطولة، وبالتأكيد أتمنى أن يظهر المنتخب الكويتي بصورة مشرفة، وأن يتجاوز أولاً المباراة الافتتاحية، ثم ينجح في التأهل من المجموعة، وبعد ذلك يبدأ التفكير في الدور نصف النهائي».

وأضاف: «أعتقد أن جميع المنتخبات المشاركة ستكون جاهزة، على الأقل من الناحية البدنية، والشباب الموجودون في المنتخب الكويتي قادرون بإذن الله على تجاوز دور المجموعات».

ووصف الأنصاري مواجهة السعودية والكويت بأنها من المباريات التي يمكن أن تغير الكثير في مسيرة اللاعب، وقال: «مباريات من هذه النوعية تدخلها بشكل وتخرج منها بشكل آخر. أتحدث هنا عن القيمة الفنية؛ مثل هذه المواجهات تمنح اللاعب قيمة مختلفة تمامًا، وقد تدخلها لاعبًا وتخرج منها لاعبًا آخر».

واختتم الأنصاري حديثه بالتأكيد على القيمة الخليجية للبطولة، قائلًا: «نتمنى أن يكون هذا تجمع أشقاء، وهي في الوقت نفسه بطولة تنافسية، ونتطلع إلى الاستمتاع بمستويات فنية مميزة، وأتمنى التوفيق لجميع المنتخبات».

All eyes are on King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah tomorrow, Wednesday, where the Saudi and Kuwaiti national teams will meet in the opening match of the Arabian Gulf Cup (Gulf 27). Former Kuwaiti national team player and executive director of Al-Fayha Club, Fahad Al-Ansari, confirmed to "Okaz" that matches of this nature carry different technical and moral values for the players, emphasizing the importance of the Kuwaiti national team overcoming the opening match before thinking about the subsequent stages of the tournament.

Al-Ansari said: "I wish good luck to all teams, and the best team will deserve to win the championship. I certainly hope that the Kuwaiti national team will present a commendable performance, first by overcoming the opening match, then succeeding in qualifying from the group, and after that, starting to think about the semi-finals."

He added: "I believe that all participating teams will be ready, at least physically, and the young players in the Kuwaiti national team are capable, God willing, of surpassing the group stage."

Al-Ansari described the match between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait as one that can change a lot in a player's career, saying: "Matches of this type are entered in one way and exited in another. I am talking here about the technical value; such encounters give the player a completely different value, and you may enter as one player and come out as another."

Al-Ansari concluded his remarks by emphasizing the Gulf significance of the tournament, saying: "We hope this will be a gathering of brothers, and at the same time a competitive championship. We look forward to enjoying outstanding technical levels, and I wish good luck to all teams."
