توفي الممثل الأمريكي آر جي ميتي (RJ Mitte) أمس (الإثنين)، الذي اشتهر بتجسيد شخصية «والتر وايت الابن» في المسلسل الشهير «بريكنغ باد» (Breaking Bad)، عن عمر ناهز 34 عاماً، وفق ما أكده ممثلوه والسلطات الأمريكية.
وأفادت وسائل إعلام أمريكية بأن ميتي فارق الحياة في مدينة براونزفيل بولاية تكساس الأمريكية، حيث أعلنت مسؤولة قضائية في مقاطعة كاميرون إثبات وفاته نحو الساعة الواحدة والنصف ظهراً بالتوقيت المحلي، فيما تقرر إجراء تشريح للجثمان لتحديد سبب الوفاة.
وأكد ممثلو الفنان نبأ رحيله في بيان أعربوا فيه عن حزنهم لفقدانه، مشيدين بمسيرته الفنية وجهوده الإنسانية في الدفاع عن حقوق الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة.
«والتر وايت الابن».. الدور الذي صنع شهرته
ارتبط اسم ميتي بشخصية «والتر وايت الابن»، المعروف أيضاً باسم «فلين»، في مسلسل «بريكنغ باد»، الذي عُرض عبر شبكة AMC الأمريكية بين عامي 2008 و2013، وحقق نجاحاً عالمياً واسعاً.
وجسّد خلال أحداث المسلسل شخصية ابن مدرس الكيمياء «والتر وايت»، الذي أدى دوره النجم براين كرانستون، وشارك في معظم حلقات العمل على امتداد مواسمه الخمسة.
وكان ميتي في منتصف سنوات المراهقة عندما انضم إلى طاقم المسلسل، ليصبح الدور نقطة التحول الأبرز في مسيرته الفنية، ويفتح أمامه فرصاً جديدة في السينما والتلفزيون.
براين كرانستون ينعى ابنه في المسلسل
وأثار رحيل ميتي موجة من الحزن بين زملائه في الوسط الفني، وفي مقدمتهم الممثل براين كرانستون، الذي جسّد شخصية والده في «بريكنغ باد».
وأعرب كرانستون عن حزنه العميق لوفاة الممثل الشاب، مستذكراً بداياته في المسلسل عندما كان مراهقاً، وكيف تطورت موهبته خلال سنوات التصوير.

وُلد ميتي عام 1992 في مدينة جاكسون بولاية ميسيسيبي الأمريكية، وشُخّص بالشلل الدماغي عندما كان في الثالثة من عمره.
واستفاد من تجربته الشخصية مع الإعاقة في تجسيد شخصية «والتر وايت الابن»، التي تعاني الحالة نفسها، وهو ما منح أداءه طابعاً واقعياً لاقى تقديراً من الجمهور والنقاد.
ولم يقتصر نشاطه على التمثيل، إذ أصبح من أبرز المدافعين عن تمثيل الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة في صناعة الترفيه، وعمل سفيراً لمنظمتي «يونايتد سيريبْرال بالسي» (United Cerebral Palsy) و«شرينرز للأطفال» (Shriners Children's).

U.S. media reported that Mitte died in Brownsville, Texas, where a judicial official in Cameron County announced his death around 1:30 PM local time, while an autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death.
Mitte's representatives confirmed the news of his passing in a statement expressing their sadness over his loss, praising his artistic career and humanitarian efforts in advocating for the rights of people with disabilities.
"Walter White Jr."... The role that made him famous
Mitte's name is associated with the character "Walter White Jr.," also known as "Flynn," in the series "Breaking Bad," which aired on the AMC network from 2008 to 2013 and achieved worldwide success.
He portrayed the son of chemistry teacher "Walter White," played by star Bryan Cranston, and participated in most episodes throughout its five seasons.
